Caspar David & Co, named after the famous German romantic painter Caspar David Friedrich, is quite a sophisticated restaurant/café, and to find one like this in Bremerhaven that is NOT a fish restaurant is already something!
There are quite a lot of vegetarian meals, and the salad, the penne and the bruschetta as vegan options.
The salad is really huge, so it's a really filling meal and it has lots of different and delicious ingredients like cashew nuts and fresh fruit of different kinds. The Bruschetta is so much that it can serve as a light lunch in its own right.
Service is ok and the location is very good, just off Theodor-Heuss-Platz, adjacent to the the city's main shopping street and opposite the theatre.

Meal was really good.
Place looks nice and strange at the same time. It looks like a ship.
The waiter told my group that the kitchen was going to close in an hour time. It's not necessary to complain in that way.
An at the end, bill was quite expensive for that we ate.

Very quaint atmosphere in the cargo area of a real sailing ship to dine. Very tasty fish dishes. My wife does not like fish, but she liked it very much.

Every year when we come to Bremerhaven to visit relatives this is the first place we go. The atmosphere is cozy, food is outstanding and good choice of drinks. Our only complaint this year is that our favorite bartender is on vacation while we are in town but hopefully we will see him next year. Centrally located, it is easy to reach when I. The city center. This year we even rented a ferien wohning next door!

This is my no.1 recommendation for Bremerhaven. We went there without a reservation and only the bar seats were available. Wo took it and ordered a complete dinner for 3 persons. It was marvellous especially the herring starter with 3 different kinds of herring. I never have had something like this before!

Went for dinner, and had a fantastic meal. Portions are huge, and the food is delicious. Lots of locals also eat there. They've got an English menu too.

We were recommended to this restaurant by the clerk at the Bremerhaven havenhostel. She said the building had a nautical them and showed us where it was on the map. We drove by it, and then realized that must have been it, and drove back. The building has some nautical stuff out front, and is older looking. But the presence of a full parking lot is a good sign for what was to come. We couldn't sit in the main dining room up front as it was full, but they found room for us in the back room - quite large - maybe 10 tables - and it was 70% full too.....Large menu and the diners appeared to be mostly locals from the area. We ordered schnitzel and salmon and the meals were very, very good - and for a reasonable price. We'd eat here again next time in Bremerhaven.

I was staying in the Atlantic Sail and used the Strom several times. Food is very well prepared and tasty, the menu could do with changing regularly though. A comfortable place to eat with great views. Outside dining available weather permitting.

My two friends and I visited during the bike racing weekend.
Despite being very busy and us having no reservation, staff were welcoming, and found us a table. The service was very good.
We all had Steak, which was excellent, despite the restaurant having a mainly fish based menu.
Value was good considering the quality of the food and surroundings.
I would certainly eat here again.

We were excited to see a nicer restaurant open up in Bremerhaven especially since it is centrally located. The menu is typical for a German restaurant - nothing spectacular or unusual. What we found totally unacceptable is that we were told at the end of our meal that they do not accept credit cards. No where was that stated on the door or anywhere else. We were told that they had some "bad experiences with credit cards".... Really? Anyway we had enough cash but would not go back again or recommend it to anyone else.
