Breda (Dutch pronunciation: [breːˈdaː] ( listen)) is a city and municipality in the southern part of the Netherlands, located in the province of North Brabant. The name Breda derived from brede Aa ('wide Aa' or 'broad Aa') and refers to the confluence of the rivers Mark and Aa. As a fortified city, the city was of strategic military and political significance. Although a direct Fiefdom of the Holy Roman Emperor, the city obtained a municipal charter; the acquisition of Breda, through marriage, by the House of Nassau ensured that Breda would be at the center of political and social life in the Low Countries. Breda had a population of 183,456 in 2017; the metropolitan area had a population of 324,812. It is part of the Brabantse Stedenrij.

Great restaurant, I can recommend to go there. Not top notch but excellent classic food for a fair price. Nice ambiance and in the summ you can sit outside. Service is very good, friendly, polite and attentive but not overly present. The restaurant is at the city centre border, so if you park 100 meters south of the restaurant you can park for free.

Wolfslaar Restaurant in Breda (Brabant) has, from 2005 until now, been awarded a Michelin star every year. According to guest reviews on independent restaurant review websites we belong to the 10 best restaurants of North Brabant and to the 80 best restaurants of The Netherlands. 20.000 guests visit our restaurant yearly, which is situated on a beautiful, classy estate in the middle of a small forest.
Restaurant is situated in the coach house in a nice parc. Nice modern setting. Seabass and lobster, nice fresh summery dish, maybe a bit simple. Quail and foie gras, beautiful presented dish, tastes great too. Blackberry and chocolate an outstanding desert. Food quality very good. Service equally good and very friendly. Then comes the wine, a good selection, many of them biodynamic in nature. No critisism of the restaurant but the more I drink these wines the worse I find them. Whites golden which is usual a sign of oxidation and the reds usually having foul odors and some sparkle in them. Same here, a Sangiovese that had no acidity and a blaufrankish that stunk and had a sparkle. Please stop making durable wines, it is a fad that produces terrible products.

The restaurant is also listed in the Gault Millau and the Micheling Guide. It has a BIB Gourmand. Other websites it is listed in is restaurantcity.com and diningcity.com
Wonderful intimate man-and-wife run restaurant: he makes excellent dishes, she is a engaging hostess and maître d'. The restaurant is small and has a lovely courtyard where dinner is served when the weather permits it. The menu changes frequently and while there is limited choice - essentially it is an 8 dish menu with 2 appetizers, starters, mains and desserts - what is served does not disappoint. We enjoyed a very well prepared 3-course (€35) meal and picked a fresh Grüner Veltliner from moderately priced wine list (€22-€70) which matched perfectly with the vibrant, light courses. All dishes defintely had a touch of modern cooking techniques but this was done without disturbing the natural presence of flavors. Excellent and personal service who serve the food with knowledge and pride. Rightly so. Excellent value for money.

Okay - it's not the average Italian restaurant and it shows in the price but OMG - it's worth every extra euro!!
Fine dining with extraordinary dishes plus staff that really makes you feel welcome.
If you can spare the extra cash and you have something to celebrate go there!

We sat down, a drink order was taken, and we were told rather brusquely that they didn't have any English menus. I was surprised that they HAD menus, having been sitting for about 15 minutes without catching sight of one.
We didn't need translations (thankfully). The rice arrived first, and things were looking up - a veritable mountain! This was quickly followed by two or three tiny side dishes containing the rest of our food - one or two pieces of chicken, about two spoonfuls of dal, and four small pieces of limp okra. My partner received no such side dish of lamb for her rice pile, but soon found two bits of meat at the bottom of the rice.
To be charged nigh on €20 for each dish - what is essentially a mound of rice - is absurd. We ate as quickly as possible and left, thoroughly disappointed. One of the waiters did appear at the end to ask after the food, and looked suitably embarrassed while doing so.
I would say avoid, but as it's located so far from the only things of interest in Breda, it's unlikely you'll have the misfortune to stumble across it.

An unique concept in Breda - Block 62, eat - shop - sleep, where we aim to stimulate all senses and exceed guest expectations. Western and Asian cuisine in a modern setting - open every Tuesday to Sunday for dinner and in the weekends for "little bites" from 4:00pm already. Every first Sunday of the month we serve a "Sunday Brunch" and will be open from 10:00 - 16:00hrs.
Being served with a smile by a waiter who knows what she's talking about and who can recommend a goos wine with the diner is always a plus these days! At Block62 you get this accompanied with lovely food! Go for whatever they recommend, you won't be dissapointed!

Great first impression and good service. I chose the Moussaka which was blatantly frozen as it was very bland and served as a perfect square block. If you cook from fresh and serve a moussaka it will not look like that. Poor really when they have taken the effort to have such great ambience and staff. Shame on the kitchen.
Portion size also gigantic. Unnecessary to serve a giant bowl of fries and salad.

Restaurant Zuyd is located on the south part of the Ginnekenweg in Breda. This beautiful shoppingstreet with luxurious shops is the connection between the cozy Ginneken and the center of Breda. The street is also known as the PC Hooftstraat of Breda. The restaurant has a modern classic decor and can accommodate 48 persons. The 8 meter long silver sofa is a real eyecatcher. In the summer there is room on the Terrace for 32 persons. In the semi-open kitchen, chef Stefan Dirkx and his kitchen brigade use the freshest ingredients to create beautiful dishes. Stefan has an extensive experience in various (Michelin star-)restaurants throughout the country. His style of cooking is basically French, but sees many worldwide influences. From the appetizer to the friandise that comes with the coffee, everything is homemade and nice presented. The menu changes every season and every month there is a new surprise menu. The team of hostesses led by Wendy will provide a casual and relaxed atmosphere so you can enjoy a culinary evening out .... obviously at Restaurant Zuyd!
Fantastic all round experience. Amazing food, fabulous service. Good wine.. Went there with work colleagues.. Everyone enjoyed the experience. Great atmosphere. Would definitely return if I am ever in Breda again..
