This unique restaurant is the most romantic dining option within the island where guests can enjoy the most luxurious setting amongst the tree tops which is perfect for an occasion to demonstrate one's love for each other. Guests can enjoy a menu inspired by Executive Chef, Azizskandar Awang that encompasses carefully selected high quality fresh products brought together on your plate with all the years of his experience. The menu is complemented with our extensive wine list which will be carefully explained by our in house Wine Guru.
I want to preface this review by saying I have dined at many, many, fine dining institutions and michelin starred restaurants, and perhaps this affects my review as I am comparing Tree Tops to world class restaurants (because that was the impression I was given by the marketing and reviews here).
The other reason I rate it at this level is because pricewise, at over $190USD a meal, that's what it should've delivered. Unfortunately this was not the case.
To be fair, there was nothing wrong with the meal, but it was definitely not anything special. The service was strictly routine, and impersonal, so much so that napkins were not folded when various members left for bathroom breaks etc.
We had the full, most expensive degustation in the restaurant - which you would've thought would be their showcasing feature, but it was such a dump and go experience, they even changed waitresses three times. Do you know why I don't know any of the waitresses' names? It's because no one introduce themselves, and more importantly, they were served as if it was a high class chinese restaurant in any major city in the world (i.e. dropped plate with just a name, no explanations).
People may say this should've been redeemed by the atmosphere and the view but in all honestly (and ironically), the view was interrupted by the trees.
This restaurant is most definitely a hotel restaurant, and not a world class restaurant. Maybe it never aimed to be, but then it should lower the prices or at least be on par with price ranges on Koh Samui.
Would I dine here again?
Not for this price, and really the restaurant should've learnt from other much better serviced institutions on the island e.g. the Page.

Just steps away from Fisherman Village and Bo Phut Traffic Light. Located on the Main Street, opposite Anantara Bophut Resort)Explore a new twist of Southern Thai Indigenous Cuisine designed by our dedicated Chef Vivien. Sip 69 secret yummy potions, freshly brewed coffee, smooth and delicious ice cream and sorbet...at a cozy shadow-terrace on a lively street... and cool air-conditioned lounge with super-comfy couches. This was our 5th visit to Cafe 69, and the standard is still exceptional
Chef Vivian is always welcoming, and a fantastic host, the food is amazing, always presented beautifully and in unusual ways (duck dumplings in a set of kitchen scales) and the staff are happy, smily and very helpful
Yes, it is on the main road, but so what? The food, service, and quirky interior design make the visit so worth while
Definately a 'must visit' if you're in the area - don't forget to book though!!

Everything is good from cocktails, food and the hospitality is perfect. The owner sat with us and explained the food and he was so passionate and it showed in the presentation and taste. Highly recommend a visit!!

Homestyle Thai food cooked only with fresh ingredients. NO MSG. Family run business. Vegetarian friendly. spicy level can be adjusted to your liking.
Good service right in the heart to things; yet, even better, it is nicely located on a quieter side street. Had two curries that were crafted well: both vegetarian with a good variety of vegetables and tofu with a side of rice. Great food, yet very spicey - I ordered medium, which I always do, yet wow- bang - and I am a spice fanatic daily. Order a mild with the curries is recommended ;-)

Authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Koh Samui. Our food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients and love. You can create your own pasta with different ingredients. Come for lunch or dinner and enjoy delicious food, relaxing & cozy atmosphere and friendly staff!
This is a 4.5 out of 5. Visited this place on the recommendation of TripAdvisor reviews and placing. Fresh pasta with excellent choice of ingredients, three separate pasta dishes delivered to us promptly and of excellent taste. A French Italian chef who knows his stuff.
Pleasant staff, and the food was excellent. Starters and mains very much enjoyed.
If it’s a quiet night you enjoy, then perhaps this High Street is not the location for you, as the passing advertising Tannoys and loudspeakers are an irritant. But please don’t let that put you off the excellent food on offer.

Classic post-nouvelle-cuisine french food. Good portions, not tiny tastes, but rich in flavors, not too filling or heavy.
Having lived in France for a decade and made many Escoffier classic recipes personally, I can say with confidence Chez François is the real deal.
Small intimate dinning room, so Reservations are recomended. Also you can make special dietary requests if needed when making the reservation.

We have been twice this week because this place is so absolutely amazing. Beautiful authentic Italian from starter to desert, everything was perfect including the wine. The service is second to none. Highly recommend anyone that loves true Italian to dine here whilst in Chaweng.

Our proprietary sauces, bastes & custom built grills allow for a unique cooking process that creates an incredible taste profile. With our top quality beef primarily sourced from the Western District of Victoria, renowned for producing premium grass fed beef
Stumbled across this little beauty on a wander through Fisherman's Village, was greeted by a friendly Aussie accent at the front, no being haggled in like other places. I was told the ribs were amazing, and the food didn't lie. Slow cooked, amazing flavour, super juicy and fell off the bone.
The service is fantastic, comparable to that of an Aussie restaurant, staff attentive, nothing was too much trouble.
Everything had a sense of nostalgia, from the music, to the way the tables are set up, the toothpicks, right down to the towelettes at our table upon Seating had that all too familiar smell of the fabric softener Mum used to use.
Highly recommended from someone with pretty high expectations & a fussy appetite.
