Located outside the castle, near the fireman building, on the road that goes to Caldas da Rainha.
This place is very calm, elegant and peaceful. The prices are mid range, from 1.20 to 4€ (couverts, drinks and dessert) and 8 to 15€ (daily and other dishes) The waiter is helpful regarding what to eat and if it is a dose for one person or not. The apresentation of the room is somewhat antique but quite beautiful. Also it is the first time that I saw a waiter come to the table ask for the taxpayer number. 5 points just there. I really liked him, he is nice.

A beautiful restaurant, that came highly recommended by our hotel. The service was friendly and attentive, the wine recommendation excellent. However, the black footed pork, suggested by our waiter, proved to be quite ordinary. It was tough and lacking in flavour, but presented with a good deal of fanfare and flourish. More attention to quality and less flash would be a good idea.

This is classed as a snack bar but is a lovely local restaurant. A lady called Aurora does all of the cooking herself and provides a wide range of dishes .toto
We came here for dinner last night and it was a lovely experience!
Place has the character, atmosphere and delicious food.
The restaurant was pretty much packed when we came in, so that speaks for itself.
Ordered sangria, prawns in curry and clamps. Finished up with flan for dessert.
If I stayed here longer, I would definitely dine here again!
Thank you for your hospitality!

Supatra is the 1st thai restaurant in Portugal. We are now in the historic village of Carvalhal, close to Quinta dos Loridos Buddha Eden and also close to the medieval city of Óbidos. We are only a few minutes away from the mortorway A8 Exit 12, Bombarral North.Even we are in a rural setting in a restored winery originally built in 1928, our food is contemporary. Supatra our chef proprietor is well known for her gastronomic creativity. Please come to experience an unforgetable meal in our Restaurant.Supatra.
Last year we missed the opportunity to have have dinner at Supatra Thai so I checked the website to find the opening hours. Drove by the restaurant to inquire after the opening hours. I did find the entrance to the parkinglot closed.
A man was walking from gate towards his car. The restaurant was only open for lunch today, being sunday. " I will be here on tuesday". I did mention the fact that I checked the website for olening hours. "This is the real world, not a website". Dumbfolded I asked if he was the owner. Indeed he was and a leaflet was being presented. This was defenately my last effort to ever have dinner at Supatra Thai. In this day and age an up to date website would be a number one priority.

This is a small friendly, family restaraunt, with excellent food, very welcoming staff, in an interesting old building, very good value for money
Our 5th annual visit here.
The restaurant is a beautiful quirky setting, the food was amazing I had the calf with red wine - cooked to prefection!
The puddings were delicious, our fist visit with children and the menu was a little limited for their Taste, the waitress tried all she could to help but there was a language barrier unfortunately.
This aside the staff are very friendly, and the food is the most Portuguese we have had in the area! Delicious.
Will be returning (without children)
Highly recommend

We visited this restaurant following the tour at Quintal do Sanguinhal. The restaurant has a modern decoration and serves typical Portuguese food. We found the food very good. The fish (Cod) was beautifully cooked.
The menu is comprehensive, whilst the staff were very attentive and professional.

We just entered the contest around 6 pm who could make most noice, whether it be the life music performing on the Terrace or the one doing the dishes and preparing coffee. If the original had been sung the same way major Tom would have made a fair chance to return safely to earth.
At 7pm we ordered our meals. I had the bife a pao. It was tasteful. After the greater part of the costumers had left the waiters became more friendly. Less stress. For us it was a once in a lifetime experience and think the overall TripAdvisor rating is overrated.

We had a hotel near Lourinha and found this restaurant at reasonable distance. As it appeared, the restaurant has a 'mentioning' in the Michelin guide. Having visited quite a few restaurants in France with such 'mentioning', we thought this had to be a good reference.
You need to reserve a table here, the owner had to send away at least 4 parties as all tables were occupied, usually a good indication. Now we can't say that we had a 'bad' dinner here, but also nothing more than that. The wine was okay, the food was certainly not exceptional, but okay. The service was rather friendly. Just before we got our food, they turned on the air conditioner on the wall blowing cold wind in our direction. It was only complaning twice and after also the table next to us complained that they stopped it, clearly not happy with the decision (we don't understand why because it was not warm in the restaurant, maybe too warm for themselves while working?).
The owners seem to be an English couple, it is not clear to us whether they are the ones that created this restaurant or whether they bought the existing restaurant. Having tasted their kitchen, the 'rating' is quite a mystery to us.
We had high expectations in Bombarral with 'Dom Jose' and 'Mae d'Agua' having great reviews, but being used to eating in fine restaurants, to us this was a desillusion. We would not return here.
