I booked a table for 6 and this was the worst meal ever. The food took 1 hour 40 to arrive and several dishes failed to materialise. My friends shish kebab was over cooked and my meal was so small I was left hungry.
Despite 4 requests my friends garlic bread failed to show and we eventually gave up. The waiter said that because we had had such bad service he would ensure that several items would be removed from the bill. When we examined the receipt it translated to a single coke and a garlic bread! Very generous given that one of the garlic breads never even showed.
The manager blamed it on the fact that one of his chefs was absent. As though that was somehow my concern!
So if you want to have over priced small portions that take an eternity to show and like your food over cooked with little regard to service please give Sen a go. For myself I will never return and I have been going to this restaurant for years! I understand it has recently changed hands and it shows. So thanks Sen for a horrid evening and a free coke and garlic bread!

Went on Saturday night for birthday meal, booked for 7.30 we were there in plenty of time. Ordered our drinks and some pompadoms. So far so good, hour and 1/4 later all we has was waitress/waiters keep trying to get us more drinks. All we wanted by 9 p.m. Was our food!!! Eventually some dishes started to appear, tables which came In after us had already been served. The food came in in dribs and drabs, they had to keep coming to us asking what we had ordered and what was missing. My rice came 10 minutes before my main by then I couldn't be bothered with my food. Maybe the food is good but the rest is a real let down, I will go elsewhere as this is the 2nd time we have experienced the Shambles that is the cardamom bay.

Thank you to the Honour family for yet another triumphant New Years Eve Celebration.
Truly excellent in all respects, the food was outstanding, as usual, the staff were attentive and made sure you wanted for nothing. We had the turbot (A++++++) and the surf and turf which were scrumptious, and the desert trio was fabulous - just right! The cheeseboard at 10pm was a lovely touch, and the singer was wonderful and sang songs for everyone. The whole room had a lovely atmosphere, looked stunning and clearly everyone in the room seemed to be having a great evening.
Well done to everyone concerned, we marvel at how they look after so many people so well, and always to such a high standard. Thank you for a memorable evening and a Happy New Year to all - we will be back soon !

a well established cafe which has recently opened in the evenings serving excellent food. 01243 862751
Oh my....attack of the Trip Advisor! I just can’t believe the one star review, I mean just how ghastly can it have been? So the cooking fat had a bad day and the door was left open but…nobody died!
I’ve been coming here for more than fifteen years and only ever had a five-star experience. The Lobster Pot is a happy busy place. The food is great and the coffee second to none. If, after just one visit, someone feels the need to moan maybe a word in the right direction would be kinder than a one star bellyache.
Clearly the place is loved by all so well done Lobster Pot. Thanks for another great coffee and - I can't help myself...another 5 stars!

It was a sunny morning so we thought we'd have a drink outside the cafe. We ordered coffee and cold drinks which were okay but the cola was a bit flat. The outside flooring is covered with a artificial grass which we discovered was crawling with maggots. We moved to the other side of the cafe front which was away from the industrial sized waste bin. We informed the staff of the maggots and in a short while a member of staff appeared with a bucket and mop. We spent an unpleasant time drinking our drinks sat in close proximity to the lady cleaning up the maggots. We eventually left because my wife could stand it no longer. There was no apology from any member of staff, they said the maggots were there because the bins had been emptied that morning. If you do visit this cafe I recommend that you sit nowhere near the industrial bin!

What a super find. Tucked away in sleepy West Sussex is this rare find of a pub. Good old fashioned quality food, portions large, price small. Comfortable Seating, very pleasant staff and varied menu. So if you're seeking a traditional pub, that serves excellent food that won't cost you a small fortune? Then come along to the Beresford......you won't be disappointed

Have passed the cafe for many years often saying ' wonder what that's like' we tried it one Saturday lunchtime and it was lovely. Shame we hadn't been sooner! Nice range on menu, nice quality teas and drinks. The service was very good and attentive.

Had the most amazing evening at the Lion for our valentines meal, the food was outstanding and was worth every penny. The staff were all lovely, especially the young lady in the restaurant who really took care of us and made our night very enjoyable! We had an amazing evening thank you

Chose here for our annual Christmas get together. The food was lovely and the flavours amazing. However, the poor service really let the evening down. The guy serving was alone and although the restaurant was really quiet the service was slow. He really needs to learn some customer service from the staff at the Thai restaurant around the corner, tuptim Siam. Don’t think he cracked a smile once!!! That’s why I couldn’t rate this restaurant with a five
