The restaurant at Svostrup Kro offers fantastic Danish dishes. The atmosphere is very relaxed and there's great view of the river (Gudenåen). I've lost count of how many times I have eaten here as it is one of my absolute favorites in Denmark. If you're in the neighborhood, you should drop by.

In a tiny village between Aarhus and Randers you find "fru Larsen" - meaning Mrs. Larsen. A gourmet restaurant with Tommy Friis as chef - he was some years ago cook of the year in Denmark.
We had a 5-6 course dinner with wine menu. It was extremely tasty and beautifully served. The servants (the chef included) were all very attentive and gave good presentations of the food - and the different wines! Perfect!
The only problem is that the place is rather far from both Aarhus and Randers - so it is a good idea to book a room at the hotel for the night.
This restaurant is one of the top 5 in Aarhus/Randers area in Denmark.

What a treat! Found this place by coincidence and wow. The menu had some exciting choices and the chef came out and told us about them. Food was amazing. If they still have the same chef don't miss out on this place.

This summer my guests and I were treated to one of the best "Kro" meals I have experienced in Denmark! The service, wine, perfection and presentation of the meal-were above excellent. I have traveled and dined throughout Scandinavia, and many times in Denmark, but I give this "Kro "excellent marks-and I plan to return and urge you to give it a chance. Dining in Danish Kros is a wondeful experience, but this one is superior!

Had dinner here in connection with an overnight stay. Excellent food and also excellent wine at fair prices. Friendly service.

Just looking for something light to eat. Waitress had to make sure with the kitchen - that there was "room" for - "can we cope with 2 from the street" - shouted across the room. Yes they could was the answer. We ordered something light - and were asked if we would wan't anything else ? If yes - You have to order it now- was the statement.
Food was not delicious in any way. We paid - and concluded - this was the first and last time for a visit.

One of the true landmarks in Viborg. This unique Dining experience has existed since 1954. It is a stake house in historic surroundings, with good food. Lunch and dinner is served, and after dinner, you can stay for drinks, and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights.
Visited for the second time with work colleagues. Service was quick and very friendly. Food was all excellent and didn't hear anyone of the 12 people who were there having anything other than praise for the whole experience

I travelled halfway around the world but never found meat like in this. Fantastic. Since 20 years, I come to this restaurant and has never betrayed me. The best you can eat meat in DK. I suggest the steak grilled served with fried potatoes. Great service and very flexible hours. Close late. A little expensive but go there. very typical environment. Pretty

We stopped by to eat some dinner and the staff was really friendly. The place didn't have their menu in English, but the waiter translated it for us with no problem. The main course; a calf meat dish we ordered was delicious. The place is cozy, altough the heating was bit too strong. Altogether, a great place to visit!
