Modern Italian with gourmet pizzas
Came here on recommendation from this site and looked forward to some quality pasta. The restaurant itself is quite large with a courtyard at the back which had a lovely laid back setting. The front of the restaurant seemed more formal. The staff seemed to not know what they were doing as different staff would ask the same question. Water was not replenished either.
The pasta dishes were large but the flavour seemed too subtle. The Mariana was large but as another person noted, there was not a lot of seafood. The other pasta dishes were ok but lacked that extra flavour.
The pizza was better but we found the food in general was just ok for the price paid.

Deck 56 Restaurant is located directly opposite beautiful Lake Macquarie. We are open Monday-Sundayday 8.00am till late for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Light meals available in the afternoon. We specialise in great food with a casual, elegant atmosphere. We make all our desserts in house and am open for morning and afternoon tea, 7 days a week. Deck 56 is fully licensed, has wheelchair access and also caters for kids.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch with two sons and two Grandmothers, one visiting from South Africa. The vista is stunning and the ambience relaxed. Menu prices much more realistic than some establishments at Warners Bay and we're really pleased we made the choice. Waitress offered a 1/2 serve of fish and chips for a Grandmother as otherwise meal would have been too big, she asked if she could have her chips cooked extra crispy, which waitress willingly obliged. We also enjoyed soft tacos with succulent pulled lamb, and salt & pepper calamari. Meals were served promptly and were tasty and freshly prepared. Yes, the chips were served extra crispy which Grandmother was especially pleased with. We lingered over our lunch, there was no 'pressure' for us to leave and staff happily boxed up some beautiful desserts for us to take home. Worth a visit, we'll definitely come back again.

We held a private function here recently and found the staff were very accommodating and were always willing to help. No request was too big or too small. The food was very tasty and sufficient to feed the guests of the event. Overall the actual function went perfectly.
Only "negative feedback" is we were advised on the day that minors had to leave the premises by 930, which was disappointing as the function had a few children there and was by no means a rowdy event. We weren't told this during any conversations in the booking process.
Also, we stayed the night in one of their rooms. It was not worth the $180 Cost for the evening. The rooms were small, we found 2 empty beer bottles under the bed, the window sills and skirting boards were covered in dust, there was paint missing from the walls, the mirror was balanced on top of the bar fridge that was rusted and well in need of replacement.
Overall, we would consider holding functions here - but wouldn't stay here again

Well what a great experience the food was authentic and very very tasty. I stumbled across this restaurant and I was not disappointed in most cases food is catered for the westerners palate but, not this place. We decided to eat in however, the takeaway orders were walking out the door one after another. This is certainly a restaurant that require many return visits which is now programmed in the the GPS.

Found this on trip adviser and was not disappointed. Interesting menu with wide contemporary offer on the all day breakfast menu. We ordered Red Chilli eggs and a breakfast bowl. Eggs were deliciously scrambled and served with bacon pieces, shallots and chilli on Morpeth sourdough....MoreThank you for taking the time to review our little cafe. We're really happy you enjoyed your experience with us. We hope to see you in again on your next visit. Cheers, The Cafe Mac Team

Sesames is an institution in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, with quality food and a beautiful ambience. The menu does not change much with their very popular signature dishes but the food is exquisite and very tasty. Price wise, it is not cheap and it doesn't really cater for "plain eaters", but if you like Asian-fusion style dining it is superb.

Place was lovely view was beautiful sitting on the back deck looking over the lake enjoying a drink . We where loving the atmosphere so we decided to have dinner in the club at the bistro I had beef Wellington with veggie not bad but should have when to one of the restaurants in the club or around the area, my husband was very disappointed in plain fish and chips, they where cold . We will go back to the club but will definitely eat else where

The Lake Macquarie Yacht Club bistro has great food at reasonable prices. We went there for lunch with friends on Easter Saturday and throroughly enjoyed it. Fortunately the weather was good which made our choice of Seating out on the deck a good one. With views across the marina, lake and foreshore, what more could you want. Service, from both dining and bar areas was friendly and prompt on a reasonably busy public holiday. Meal sizes were good and prices reasonable. Recommend the battered fish & chips (John Dory fish), Scotch Fillet steak and Thai Beef salad. Will definitely go there again.

Take a tantalising food journey along the ancient trading routes of the Sephardic and Moors at Sephardim Mediterranean Kitchen, tucked just around the corner from The Esplanade in Warners Bay. Dine among the warmth of this exotic themed restaurant with red tones and intricate patterns creating an exciting dining vibe to enjoy the tantalising flavours of the Mediterranean. Starting at Spain, taste your way around Morocco to Turkey and on to Persia with rice dishes and roasts, succulent tagines and mouth watering dishes from the Ottoman Grill, with house blends of aromatic spices and finish with a sweet treat or two from the Middle East. Refresh with a Turkish apple tea martini or perhaps enjoy a more Spanish flavour with a Galician coffee delight topped with a pinch of Persian fairy floss. Sephardim caters for all dietary requirements and ethical choices where it can. Sephardim has a dedicated vegan menu and many gluten free options. Call their friendly team for more information.
Was a lovely experience. Made my booking on the day. It was booked out. But the staff were kind enough to call me as soon as a table was free. We ordered a jug of sangria, 2 tapas dish and their grilled share plate. Plenty of food for 3 girls. The staff were attentive to our needs. Definitely would rate this place top 5 restaurants in Newcastle
Flavours were spot on for food and drinks
Thank you for the lovely night
