A classy and relaxed restaurant in a classic 19th-century house, facing the beautiful Koningin Astrid Park. Family owned since 1989. Old fashioned Belgian cuisine - light jazzy background music. Menu formula´s only. ( No " à la carte") Booking advised through restaurants´website. Bon appetit !
I was in Bruges with my father and partner for my birthday weekend. I booked a table for my birthday dinner on the Friday night.
We arrived at 7pm and were met by Axel and his wonderful team. We had a lovely corner table in the elegant dining room and were very well looked after,
The 4 course set menu with accompanying wines (or beers) is compulsory at weekends. There are 3 or 4 choices for each course - check out their website for the details.
We were first served a glass of pink sparkling wine and an amuse bouche of smoked salmon - delicious.
With each course we were served a glass of selected wine, although you could chose if you preferred red or white. I was served a chardonnay with my scallop starter and was a little perturbed, as I don't normally like chardonnay - at all! However, I was reassured by the server that the wine was delicious, and it was actually delicious!
I now know a chardonnay that I can drink (I made sure to note the name!)
Wine glasses were topped up as we ate, so we certainly got more than one glass per
course. The staff were lovely and very helpful, and Axel was charming - a very attentive host in the nicest way. He made sure everyone in the restaurant was well looked after. There were several people celebrating with a special meal.
As it was my birthday they served a little trio of tarts (one each) with a candle for me to blow out - a lovely touch.
The food and wine was all top quality, and the service impeccable. Next time we are in Bruges we will definitely be back.
Thank you Axel and the team.

We've been going to this restaurant for probably 10 years now. This must be the only place hat has never disappointed us. On the contrary, each time we go we are surprised again. We blindly chose the gastronomic menu with assorted wines. Each time this has proven to be a great gastronomic experience, the wines are always great new discoveries.
Friendly and professional service, a very nice and friendly couple run the place.
This place does not need to get a star or anything like this, this place is a star. We hope it continues like this for a very long time, and we're always looking forward to our next visit.

If you want to eat spareribs, that's the place. The best spareribs I ever had. You get really value for your money. If the weather is nice you can eat near the riverside or in the very romantic restaurant. The staff is very friendly. We love this place.

Landgoed Di Coylde is the perfect place for an intimate , romantic party or a social event, family reunion, or a business party. We are happy to provide private setting for groups up from 20 persons
Very friendly reception by the owner of the restaurant.
Apart from our table of three there was only one other table with customers (this was a business lunch on a weekday).
We were seated in a smaller section of the restaurant with 4 tables in total so we didn't feel like we were in a deserted place but it is a shame of course to be in such a beautiful place with only a few people.
Food
Very good quality but rather small portions. Mix of traditional and modern techniques, the chef is obviously a very talented person.
We took the lunch menu, I don't think you could eat a la carte.
Establishment
The restaurant is located in a magnificent manor and even though it is close to the (light) industrial area of Beernem, you feel like being in the countryside.
Service
Very friendly and professional service, no remarks.

This is our 4th visit here . We try to visit Bruges every year & always book Pro deo. Nathalie always welcomes us and remembers our names! Considering it’s only once a year we think that’s really amazing. The food is excellent & menu not too vast. We do go to other restaurants as well but this little gem is the best . We found that the main course is very filling & we don’t always have a starter! Flemish stew is always a winner , but we have tried many other dishes ...all excellent. Hats off to Kristophe & Nathalie

We were at the restaurant the night before Valentine. The interior is modern and cosy. We had our aperitive in the salon: they have an apart menu of gin or you choose the classicers like champagne. On the menu we find fresh food of the season. Not many choices but you can choose for fish or meat. The wine choice is on good level and prices are very reasonable. The service is not only friendly but also very attentive. The cook gives attention for your wishes and any allergies. It was also nice to see the young cook after the dinner. We recommand this restaurant for gourmets.

Relax dinner with friends. ‘Eclectic’ interior in an old farmhouse decorated with modern art of varied qualities. Very professional and charming ladyhost managed some very young waiters who needed a more challenging outfit. The ‘all in’ menu gives a nice demonstration of the chefs knowledge. Good food quality, nice presentation, (too) often finalised with a jus/bouillon at the table. Just a tiny bit below one star level. Surprising wines generously offered, as goes for the waters, desserts, cheese plates, coffee and tea: really all in, so no surprises when the bill arrived. We had a great eve!

We have stayed at other Van der Valk hotels and generally appreciated their customer centred approach. This hotel is no different. It is beautifully decorated and has a fitness centre etc too. The rooms are spacious with luxurious bathrooms and the beds have a mattress topper on them to make them much more comfortable. Being so close to the E40 it is a great location to stay on the way or way back from Europe as it is just over an hour from the tunnel/Calais port. But most worthy of note is the broad range of dishes available for breakfast. There were about six or more juices to choose from, meats, fish and cheeses as well as the cooked bacon, egg, sausage, mushrooms and cheesy tomatoes. And they will make you an omelette too. A number of breads and pastries and a well decorated dining room. Excellent value for money and 15 minutes from the bus stop to catch a bus to Bruges town centre if you don't want to park at t'Zand (where free parking spaces are lit up for you).
