Bearsden (/ˌbɛərzˈdɛn/ ( listen)) is a town in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland, on the northwestern fringe of Greater Glasgow. Approximately 6 miles (10 km) from Glasgow City Centre, the town is effectively a suburb, and its housing development coincided with the 1863 introduction of a railway line. The town was named after Bearsden railway station, which was named after a nearby cottage.

My husband and i visited last night during a weekend in Glasgow, after Reading the reviews on TA. We were very impressed. The staff were lovely, attentive but not too in your face.
We dont eat meat and sometimes have a limited choice in restaurants. Our starter had a fancy name I cant remember but was small pasta parcels with truffle and hazelnuts and was delicious. I nearly licked the plate. The following courses were also very good.
All in all, a lovely wedding aniversary celebration. Thank you

Had a meal here with friends on Saturday night. In fairness the food was fine, what can go wring with fish'n'chips, not a lot. That said the clientele certainly could have been better. I was accosted by a couple of drunks in the bar after...MoreHello, The gentleman in question at your table was dealt with in the appropriate manner. Many thanks for your comments.

Excellent food, staff and service. Regular at this restaurant but a last minute booking with friends was great value for money. Staff especially Jim, Lynne and Ashleigh always greet you with a smile and cant do enough for you. Fantastic service, food was amazing (the bread is unbelievable).

Ate at Massimo with 3 family. Friendly staff in a lively restaurant. Service was quick initially but lack of service later on after main course.
Large kids pizza was huge and too much for our youngster who has a healthy appetite.
Pasta dishes were average in our opinion and lacked flavour. I had the chicken and spinach which became chilly quickly and a little congealed and stodgy.
Fine for a quick supper.

Relaxed daytime dining. A stylish and welcoming place to meet for breakfast, brunch & lunch. Locally roasted coffee and loose leaf tea make a perfect accompaniment to our cakes and scones which are all made in house by our specialist bakers. No booking necessary. Childrens menu. open 7 days
We planned for brunch but didn't make it there until lunch. They don't take bookings for small groups and it wasn't a problem getting a table. The breakfast menu was available all day and had great choice. Food was delicious and generous portions. Orange juice was really small for the price. Inside was lovely and we didn't feel rushed at all. Would return.

My Home Bakery is a small but eloquent bakery in the heart of the west end of Glasgow. We're located less than 5 minutes' walk from Kelvinhall subway station. We sell a range of cakes, savouries and breads all freshly baked in shop. We also offer a variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan savouries and cakes.
I stay just around the corner from this lovely little bakery and the shop, staff, food, cakes and drinks are all wonderful.
Good selection of food and options for vegetarians. Humus and baked crisps are unbelievably delicious.
The only reason I struggle to give it 5 stars is that it's not exactly cheap. You'd get a small bite, coffee and cake for little change out of £10.
But as a little treat...it's one of the best around.

Green Gates is specialising in 'Home Style' regional cuisine from North and South India. It merges the talents of Balram Bhatia and Tarun Wadhwa, who both trained in India, before working as Manager and Head Chef respectively for the legendary and multi award winning Mother India and Wee Curry Shop restaurants.
Found this great restaurant whilst visiting family in Renfrew. We love Indian food and visit our local restaurant, which is really good, regularly, so we were concerned this one might not meet our usual standards. We were not disappointed. The staff are lovely, knowledgeable and attentive, (but not too much). The meal was fab, but special mention has to go to the veg pakora, which were divine and the peshwari naan which was the best I've tasted. Portions are generous, very tasty and we will definitely be back. You can even get a doggie bag to take home if needed. It's also good that you can see into the kitchen, which looked well run, organised and clean. Only negative and it's a small one, is that the water is served in metal goblets which give a metallic taste but it's easy enough to ask for a glass.
