Had the $29 banquet for 2 which was superb. There was so much food and it was beautiful. We ended ups taking all the leftovers home. Staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. Banquet at $29 is great value for money compared to $26-29 for 1 meal. Street parking out the front was easy to find. Would really recommend but take a good appetite with you.

We had dinner here on a Sunday night, it is obviously popular going by the amount of people eating here. We both ordered the pork which was really good and a hearty sized meal, I had trouble finishing mine. Other meals coming out looked good as well. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming.

Ooooooo
Went here last Friday for a special get together with friends. The staff is very attentive and friendly - well done. But there were a few things amiss:
1. The open fire was not going. It was 4 degrees and dropping. It is June & it is Bathurst. PLEASE give us some warmth. We had to put on our coats to eat. Being cold does impact on your meal.
2. I selected the rolled chicken. Great flavours but the chef had been heavy on the pepper. I don't pepper my meals - ever. I don't like the flavour & here was my meal peppered by the staff. It spoilt the taste. Plus the small chicken gristle was still in the rolled chicken breasts. So I had to spit out [very attractive for my diners] the gristle.
3. Ordered a side of vegetables that came out 5 minutes after our mains. Dilemma - do we eat what is hot [whilst we are freezing in the room] or wait for the veges? And then the veges were jammed into this small ramekin so you couldn't extract one without taking out the lot.
4. Dessert was apple tarte tatin - deconstructed with poached rhubarb. The rhubarb was four sticks the size of a toothpick- not quite what I was thinking.
5. Main meals are $42 each - well and truly Sydney prices & that would be for a fine dining restaurant.
I applaud 92 for having a go, but if it wants locals to patronise it it must lift its game. And please warm up the room!!!

Went recently during the breakfast service. I've had a varied experience with this restaurant, but it remains very popular and I'm always happy to give a place another go. Both my meal and my partner's were huge, (daunting but enjoyable), the coffee is lovely, and we soaked in the busy but friendly and relaxing vibe this place excels in creating. The service was attentive and professional. I found the crumbed avocado accompanying the corn fritters to be a bit weird and not very enjoyable, but everything else was spot on.

Had dinner here to try their praised pizza. Didn't disappoint. Beautiful location in an old church. First couldn't get a table outside in their courtyard with very good live music, which was a bit difficult with 2 young children (only bar stools). Later we changed to outside and it was perfect. Staff was very friendly and it was a very relaxed evening. Would definitely go back.

A group of five for a pre-Christmas night out. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed pre-dinner drinks, with no pressure to hurry along. There is a reasonable choice of entrees and mains, however we thought the prices were a little on the high side. This was accentuated when the mains, especially the rump steak, was a dissappointment, well cooked as requested, but quite tough and chewy. A extensive wine list, blantantly overpriced. Service was prompt, and whilst we enjoyed the company and the night out, I don't think we will return, there are better restaurants in Bathurst and more reasonably priced

This busy cafe continues to provide excellent fare for the sit-down diners and does a roaring trade in take away coffee. Friendly service and great breakfasts. The big breakfast would satisfy the largest appetite and there is a good selection of alternate meals. A must have is mushrooms on the side, devine. There is no rush to move you on, so it is a relaxing place to enjoy that second great coffee

Very friendly service, gorgeous decor, and delicious food. What more can you want? A great range of meals, but save room for dessert because it is worth every calorie! Hardest part is knowing you have to chose one thing out of so many delicious things. The gelato is the best in town. My out of town dad always asks me to bring him the macaroons or a slice of cake whenever I visit - it's that good.

If you are visiting Bathurst, you must visit Al Dente. It is the best coffee and Lara who is front of house is the loveliest lady ever!
They are a family owned and run business and they really care about the quality of their coffee and being loyal to their customers.
Hours are a little strange. Not open Sunday, and Saturdays are restricted hours. But if you are there during the week, you must drop in!
Must see in Bathurst.
