Olive comprises of a juxtaposed deli and cafe situated in the hear of Skerries. We have Seating inside the cafe and also a pretty outside terace and sunny back garden. We serve wine, coffee, smoothies, healthy sandwiches, salads , soups, cheese boards, homebaked cakes and much more!
-mostly have had coffee and buns here however I like the variety and quality of what they offer -looks great for brunch and adjacent shop sells some gourmet style delights -staff friendly/have heater and blankets for outside eating -seats can be very close together so...MoreLovely review, thank you!

I've given this restaurant excellent reviews in the past. However we ordered take away tonight & it was truly a very bad experience in terms of waiting time & customer service. I ordered online & got a confirmation suggesting my order would be going out in 40 mins. I duly got a text 40 minutes later stating that my order was with the Delivery driver. 30 minutes later I phoned & was told that the text had been sent in error & that, in reality, my food had left the restaurant 10 minutes earlier. 30 minutes later no food. I tried ringing but each time went to voicemail. Eventually I left an irate message pointing out that it was now 1 hour & 40 minutes since my order had been confirmed. I got a call back during which a number of excuses were given about power outages in their other restaurant resulting in them having a large number of customers in the Balbriggan restaurant. I pointed out that this wasn't my problem - after all they shouldn't take Delivery orders they can't fulfil. Then I was told that my order was still at the restaurant! I pointed out that his colleague had lied to me 35 minutes earlier when she told me that my order had gone out. I then demanded a discount (important to note that I had to ask as none was offered). In between making excuses he eventually agreed the discount. I can guarantee I will never again order a take away from Karma Thai. Honesty from the start would definitely have been the best policy. Taking an order, promising a Delivery time they must have known they couldn't meet & compounding this by telling a blatant untruth when I rang, followed by numerous excuses do not add up to good customer service. Oh and the food was lukewarm & one ordered item never materialised.

Just had a bowl of seafood chowder from afternoon menu with one piece of brown bread.
Chowder was tasty with plenty of seafood. Slice of bread was not genuine Irish soda bread but an unpleasant sweet brown bread.
Service was fine.
Asked for pot of green tea, and got a tall Irish coffee glass with teabag.

Normally am a big fan of Blue Bar, but visited tonight & i have to say it just wasnt up to scratch. Menu is after getting smaller, not so much choice. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger & fries, my husbands Burger was cold & he had to send it back to be heated up in the microwave. My fillet steak was luke warm & went cold half way thru the meal.. Daughter loved her desert... big ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce.. staff were nice, but shame about the food... With so many nice restaurants in Skerries, dont think we wil be returning any time soon.

I visit this restaurant regularly as I work nearby. It's a beautiful pub and restaurant. Stunning decor and some of the friendliest staff you will find for a great old fashioned Irish welcome. The food quality is always second to none, but the pieces are high relative to the food - but they have a captive audience as it's the best pub in the area!
The service however is nothing short of snail like - all the time. When i visit for lunch I factor in an extra 40 odd minutes. No chance of going for an hour and being back on time! Sometimes I pre-order so that the food is there or almost when I get there.
The quality of the food makes me go again and again though.

Our first time eating here.
Food was amazing cooked perfectly. We chose sirloin steak and the salmon dish.
Very good value for money. 2 large sides came included with the steak price.
Staff very friendly.
Nice atmosphere.
Restaurant small and off the beaten track a bit but that doesn't make any difference. Sometimes the best gems are hidden!
Will definitely be returning.

located in what used to be called the LIFEBOAT
With so many great places to eat in Skerries, it's easy to overlook this restaurant, but situated overlooking the harbour and directly opposite Storm in a Tea-Cup this has to be added to your foodie list, if only for the Fish and Chips. They also do it as take out and, OMFG it's good.
Also they are very child-friendly with a good kids menu. Will visit again soon

I brought my parents out for a spin around north county Dublin recently , and on the way home we dropped in for a bite to eat .
Lovely friendly staff made us feel very welcome .
My parents both had roast beef with all the trimmings - including pepper sauce or gravy as requested .
I had an open chicken fillet Sandwich , and i reckon i got the full chicken - pure white chicken - excellent.
Then we indulged a little and ordered , white chocolate crunch cheesecake , trifle and the old reliable jelly & ice cream , all washed down with a big pot of tea .
Really good value , and a really enjoyable afternoon

Located inside the Brackencourt Hotel, we had (in this order) lunch, dinner, and breakfast. It was nice to not venture out, but have good food, a reasonable price, and everything right there. The bartender was great... my wife was unsure what to get (she's not really a 'drinker,' and he brought several small glasses of suggestions, including a nice cider which she ended up ordering.
