I really had higher hopes for this restaurant. View was lovely, staff was great and complimentary chips and dips were yummy.
Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, mixed seafood in garlic.
I could tell as soon as I saw it was far from fresh so that worried me but when I tasted it I knew it was reheated because parts of it were hot and parts cold.
I know my consumer rights that I am entitled to a refund or substitute but being English I paid and left, feeling ashamed to leave so much food.

The best spanish, mediterranean and vegetarian food, little money for good quality and mediterranean food. You can choose between seafood, fish, meat or vegetarian meals, even you can enjoy with the traditional tapas or the sandwiches with homemade bread!!You will feel like at home. La mejor comida española a precios económicos. Puedes elegir platos de marisco, pescado, carne, vegetarianos o si quieres disfrutar de las famosas tapas españolas con un vinito o disfrutar de un bocadillo con pan casero.
I always stop by Amalur to get the sandwiches. I order the especial which includes pork, tomato, cheese, caramelized onions, and lettuce served on French bread for 4.50, the price matches up with the size and how filling the Sandwich is. It is a great change from all the Ecuadorian food. Amalur is one of the only places that has survived the earthquake, and one of the only places opened still serving food. The owners are a Spanish couple who are very friendly & keep the place clean.

We are located on the Malecon just at the base of the bridge. Just look for the sailboats.
Friendly welcome. Nautical feel. Excellent wifi. I intended just to stop for a drink but saw the prawn Ceviche as a speciality. I wish I hadn't. It was just a cup of pico de gallo with a few unfresh prawns thrown in.

We stayed at the hotel and didn't think twice about dining at the restaurant. We should have!!! Grilled chicken that had as much taste as cardboard, a vegetable lasagna with rubbery pasta... The grilled fish was ok. The desserts were disgusting. But worst of all, the service... 40 minutes is too long a wait for a meal when there are only 2 tables with costumers. The price is very high for the area also. So overall, no reason at all to stay and eat at the hotel.

I really cannot say that the food was bad. It was ok. Not superb... just ok, and expensive! I wouldn't have imagined that I'd be paying a dollar for each shrimp that ended up in my plate. I could have gotten better in another place. Also, the place closes really early even on weekends.

Henry is a former fireman from San Diego, who runs the 2x / day bootcamps, trains Ecuadorian fire departments, is setting up beach lifesaving organization, and oh yeah, runs a bar that is inside Claudia’s pizza. He has figured out how to stream U.S. sports games, so we were able to catch the Seahawks / 49ers game and enjoy some very good drinks.

Whether you go for breakfast, lunch or dinner it is all good. I prefer the lunch, wonderful Ecuadorean food. The place is beautifully decorated with many things; pictures, saddles, and lots of old art work. The service it very good, very pleasant. They offer some of the best coffee ever. It is also a hotel, though I have never stayed. I do eat here often. I would recommend this place more for lunch or dinner. Breakfast menu is limited. Just across the street from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. They do offer outside Seating, but the inside is also beautiful.

Newly remodeled Mexican restaurant, nicely done. Excellent burritos & tacos. The frozen margaritas are pretty good.
One of the cleanest restaurants in Bahia. Prices are very reasonable. A little off the beaten path, you might need to ask directions.
The only negative thing, which I'm sure is because of remodeling, was it loud inside. It is small inside, hopefully they can add window treatments or something to deflect the noise.
Worth the trip, sit outside table if possible.
