Ashdod (Hebrew: אַשְׁדּוֹד; Arabic: أَشْدُود Ashdud or إِسْدُود Isdud) is the sixth-largest city and the largest port in Israel accounting for 60% of the country's imported goods. Ashdod is located in the Southern District of the country, on the Mediterranean coast where it is situated between Tel Aviv to the North (32 kilometres (20 miles) away) and Ashkelon to the South (20 km (12 mi) away). Jerusalem is 53 km (33 mi) to the east. The city is also an important regional industrial center.

The decorum reminds a fishermen village.
The restaurant was quite busy.
Fish are very very fresh .
Starters come with freshly baked bread,
Humus and eggplants, tomatoes salad and
Taramasalata .
I enjoyed my cooked shrimps in olive oil and vegetables very very much.
Service was great with smiling faces .
I strongly recommend this restaurant.
Ps Ashdod is a sea-port city, growing fast by the ocean.

This pub has everything you could desire. Large variety of beers on tap, variety of liqueur, delicious food, knowledgeable waiters who although busy, have the time to explain the menu, delicious food, big portions and very reasonable prices. Suggest getting there before 8 to get place. We left about 9.30 and there was a large crowd outside waiting to get in

The food was tasty and the service was generous prompt and accurate. We liked the interpretation and presentation for some of the dishes like the seviche, the baked potatoes and some of the Deserts. Avoid meat in a fish restaurant...
prices are high but the quality of food is high as well.

First impression is really nice as the view hits you in the face. Beautiful sea view.
the service is below average and food is VERY expensive without any reason.
I would not recommend going there, maybe just to have a glass of wine during sun set time.

Of time, and money.
For some reason, which completely eludes me, this restaurant has a good reputation.
This place is dirty, smelly, and clearly not welcoming.
The service is poor in a way that makes you feel sorry for the waiters, they simply don't know how to be waiters.
Finally, the food is supposed to be Italian, the fact that they use products that resembles Italian food don't necessarily make it so.
If you like Italian food, don't try it there.

Went there for lunch with not too many expectations and we really enjoyed . Ashdod isn't recognized as a leading culinary city in Israel but as time passes there are more and more good places to eat in.
The decor is great with a real English pub style, there are about twenty beers to chose from from around the world, and the menue has a big range from salads to fish and seafood too meats. We chose one plate of spareribs which were fabulous and one sausages which were good but nothing compared to the rigs.
The chips and the home fries were ok but who cares with such good meat.
For dessert we took the mascarpone cream which was nice.

Pavella is well situated at the extreme of the beachfront Promenade, with ample free parking in the immediate vicinity. One of a number of fine eateries grouped together, it seems quite able to maintain its popularity with the younger set, mainly, and the menu is accordingly not over-ambitious. The food offerings, strong on Italian and fish dishes, are tasty and reasonable, without being showy and ensures Pavella's position in a high-trade part of Ashdod.
