Nestled in a the beautiful Schanfigg Valley, Arosa is the very picture of an Alps village, from its diverse array of ski runs to the charming wooden houses that are so quintessentially Swiss. If you want, you can round out your ski vacation with concerts, architectural tours, and a visit to the 500-year-old Bergkirchli mountain chapel.

Gemutlich und wahrschaft - die neue Hornlihutte an der Skigebietsverbindung Arosa - Lenzerheide. Grosse Sonnenterrasse, wahrschafte Kuche, schone Weine!
We were travelling in Switzerland and stayed in Arosa. We took the gondola up here and decided to have lunch at this restaurant. We had a fondue (cheese). Very 'Swiss' experience. We thought the service was good and the food was very tasty. We enjoyed the experience and the patio tables had blankets at them to cover up if one was cold. However we were there in August and it was very warm out.

If you are only going to have one meal in Arosa, Golfhuus is the place.
Willi (cooking) and Nicole (in charge of the restaurant) does a fantastic job of creating wonderful food and making sure the service is superb.
The views over the cross-country slopes in winter and golf course in the summer makes for enjoyable viewing between the courses.
We usually go there almost every week during winter time and always when we are in Arosa during the summer.
The winter barbecue on Sundays outside in the sun is not to be missed.
Before your meal, you can always play golf in the summer or do some cross country skiing in the winter, the foods taste even better after that (if possible).

We Visited here during our Feb half term ski trip and it's the best place for steaks. Very good food; not as romantic as Le Bistro but an excellent meal, well cooked and a decent wine list too. Again, it's expensive at about £180 for two for dinner (without starters!), but in the typical range for Switzerland. Would recommend and would return again

Hotel Vetter is located in the centre of Arosa and open all season. Visitors and locals meet in our traditional restaurant “Vetterstuebli” and enjoy our fine gourmet cuisine.
Had dinner at the restaurant and had capuns and cordon bleu (Swiss specialities). The food was very-very good, cordon bleu was enormous, so was difficult to finish all.
The staff is super friendly and attentive and worked all evening with the smiles.
Overall, a very pleasant experience, so happy to re-visit again.

We both shared a pork schnitzel and chips with
a side salad and asked for a spare plate which was
not a problem
The schnitzel arrived at the table a huge portion with
Chips on one side. The salad very small and was very
old lettuce and with old soggy tomatoes very disappointing
The salad nothing like normally served in restaurants
in Switzerland.
Meal very dry and un interesting
The lady kept our change of Chf 6 to which we
had to with embarrassment ask for and did get
We thought this a cheek

aifach means simple. its all about siting on a table with your friends, enjoying good food and a glas of wine. Come and find out!
We loved this place. The set meal was well composed and every course was very tasty and served in an elegant manner. Menu changes every day, veal tenderloin as main course for us was indeed very tender. Atmosphere relaxed, waiter tok time to chat, interesting talk about the Wine selection and there were some good wines to choose from!

This is what Switzerland needed: an organic gourmet beef burger served on top of a mountain.
In the early days I liked to get to the SIT-huette and get my fix of McTwist burger and the famous fries. Mirko and his team have now upped their game. The Big-A(rosa) burger is completely sourced from local ingredients (the cow never left Arosa, the bread is from the local baker etc etc) and although my expectations were sky-high, they were definitely met!
It was a great experience - and can recommend every visitor of Arosa to drop by and get one.

We squeezed into the Grischuna at lunchtime, trying to get a quick turnaround in time for the resumption of ski school up the road. We booked for four, but made life difficult for the restaurant by bringing along two additional people. We were accommodated without fuss, and the owner even managed a smile (eventually - although I can't blame them for being stressed).
There's lots of choice on the menu, including several vegetarian options, more than you might get at other restaurants in the area. Kids have the usual selections of schnitzels, nuggets or chips, but my (very fussy) eight year old decided to try the tomato soup and, to my surprise, liked it! My rösti was made with cheese and was very tasty. Everyone else found the food good.
The decor at the Grischuna is packed with detail and really needs to be experienced first hand - if you're going at lunchtime in the ski season, definitely book ahead (ideally a few days). Recommended.

Southern Italian specialties :Daily fresh fish and homemade pasta. Benvenuti e Allegria !
The waiter overruled everything we attempted to order. Service was extremely slow and food arrived after a very long wait. Focus was on upwelling us on drinks. Fifty percent of restaurant customers arrived after us and all were served before us. Food was fine, not good. I do not and will not recommend this poorly organized restaurant. I live in Switzerland and this is one of the worst meals I've had in the last year.

Modern, informal & enticing Enjoy the fine art of modern, flavoursome gourmet dining at 1800 m above sea level. In an informal yet elegant setting our Executive Chef Tobias Jochim and his team are on hand to serve tempting culinary treats to suit your own personal taste. Choice of dishes featuring the finest products blend harmoniously to create an alpine gourmet fairytale, with of course one chapter dedicated to rare vintages from Switzerland and abroad. The restaurant La Vetta is awarded with 1 Michelin Star and 15 Gault&Millau points.
Had dinner at the La Vetta. Last year I visited the restaurant and gave 5 stars. This year I was thinking of dropping to 4 stars because I thought the menu card was a little difficult. But the service is spotless and you will enjoy a wonderful evening - therefor I stuck with 5 stars. They serve some tasty extra dishes, have great wine. You will enjoy the evening.
