Absolutely stunning experience in Arezzo. We had lampredotto in salsa verde (glad we didnt know what it was before we ordered it because it was amazing), pasta with bianche ragu and fenicle (best pasta i had with ragu!), slow-cooked escalope in red wine (couldnt be better. Amazingly prepared). Also we tried tiramisu and crema caramel. Both were very good.
Very good and kind staff! :) this place is local and felt like home-kitchen.

Arrived there for lunch without having reserved as a party of 22 persons (10 adults and 12 children). The staff managed to settle us all in and were efficient and quick to get us all served. Food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Restaurant is very cosy and nicely decorated on the first floor, just above the traiteur shop where you can also purchase most of the food served. A place to go when you are visiting Arezzo.

Here, the guests are spoiled with traditional Tuscany dishes, famous starters and home made pasta, ravioli, tagliatelle and gnocchi. Barbecued steak, beefsteak and all kind of grilled vegetable can be found on the comprehensive menu too. Beside a good meal a good wine belongs on the table too. This quiet superb restaurant sits in a field down a couple of rural lane ways on the outskirts of Arezzo and the experience is worth every moment you spend cursing you map a thousand times over. The food is great, the wine varied, the prices totally reasonable and the service stupendous. We stumbled upon at the last moment and loved the experience and the meal.

We've been touring the hill towns of Umbria and Tuscany for 2-3 months now and one thing we've often found has been very frustrating. That is that, although the Italians are renowned for making a terrific variety of sandwiches treats - Panini, Focaccia, Torto al Testo and so on, yet, in many places, it can be no easy matter to find an establishment selling them. Happily we did not experience this problem today in the beautiful, historic town of Arezzo in Tuscany.
Panini & Co, on Piazza Sant' Agostino is a Sandwich lover's delight. They have a set menu of 42 different varieties, available on a wide range of different breads and they also offer the facility for customers to create their own recipes. The sandwiches are stuffed full of delicious and healthy fillings and to top it off........they're enormous!
Raging in price from 4 - 6 Euros they're fantastic value. We enjoyed 1 each with a refreshing glass of fruit juice and finished it off with a fine coffee and sugar-free chocolate bar. Just what you're looking for in a lunchtime filler and you'll be fine all the way until dinner in the evening for sure. Not to be missed.

Wonderful piadine with a multitude of different fillings, including daily specials. Extremely popular, so busy at lunchtime. Still managed very quick service. Two sizes available, the "baby" size is huge, so heaven knows how big the regular is. A few seats outside, but no Seating inside.

Ambience Typical/Elegant joined the contemporany cuisineof the Chef Luca Scoscini. Dario and Anna is the ideal place where to try new tastes and high quality raw materials from around the world, being able to feel pampered from the first to the last moment that you sit on the care of the dining room staff. Opened in 1964 by Dario Scoscini and Anna Parrini as rotisserie then transformed over the years into a Contemporany Restaurant by the son Luca Scoscini.
We were looking for a restaurant in Arezzo near the centre (Piazza Grande) but couldn’t find any with good reviews so we reluctantly decided to book Dario e Anna and suffer the 20 minutes walk.
Well, that turned out to be an excellent decision. Becuase we don’t speak Italian, we like to arrive early at 7:45pm so that the waiter can help us with the menu. As usual, we were the first to arrive but we needn’t have worried about using Google translate as the waiter spoke excellent English and helped us with the menu.
This restaurant focuses on dinner, being only open for lunch in the weekend and it shows. The lighting was correctly dimmed unlike many Italian restaurants which have the light on full. The waiter was obviously very experienced and was effortless in his manner. After limited success with regional wines, we prompted for the safety of a Brunello. The 2010 Abbadia Ardenga Brunello di Montalcino was reasonably priced at around 65 EUR.
So far so good. Whilst we were happily chatting away we were presented with a purple potato and various spots of mayonnaise and similar, compliments of the chef. This went really well with the wine being earthy in nature.
Our starters of the ham croquettes and local shrimp were expertly plated up and very tasty. The main courses of the fish and lamb were also of an equally high standard being expertly cooked and well presented. The only thing which didn’t work for us was the house speciality recipe tiramisu dessert which is just whipped cream with cocoa powder sprinkled over it. It’s a nice way to present it but there is no sponge base or liqueur so as a dessert it just doesn’t work. The apple tart was, however, very good.
You know when you have good service, in that you just don’t notice it. The finished dishes seem to have disappeared from the table without us noticing.
An excellent meal with excellent service and well worth the extra walk from the centre of town.

A true family run, local pizzeria with a historic reputation, winning national awards. Wood fired, thin crust pizza made with locally sourced, seasonal produce. Highlights include, house antipasto, a platter large enough to share and calzone salciccia, pork sausage with fresh tomato sauce on the side.
A great chilled house white wine, large selection of beers on tap and bottled, including BifronS from the local micro brewery and some lovely digestif to round of your meal. When family and friends come to visit this is always a go to place.

Enoteca, bar, bottega, formaggi , vino, tartufo e funghi porcini. Vendita al banco e somministrazione di alimenti e bevande.
We went here for lunch based on high ratings on TA, and were somewhat disappointed. I had the gnocchi with gorganzola and fig, my wife a salad with tuna. Neither were especially bad, but neither were especially good compared to many other meals we have had in our 8 weeks in Italy. I also had an OK glass of house red with my lunch, and our total bill was €34. I would not bother eating here again. The associated cheese shop and specialty food items looked interesting, but for meals I think you could do much better elsewhere.

We stumbled upon this gem of a store while walking in Arezzo and decided to try the sandwiches - great choice! We had one with bresaola and one with raw sausage, hot sauce and cream cheese, both were crazy delicious! The sandwiches are made in front you, always fresh, don't miss it when you're in the town!

Albikokka is a restaurant you can call "home" with a touch of elegance and sophisticated style. We are waiting for you!
Having read such glowing reviews about this establishment, we decided to try it while on a short visit to Arezzo. It was situated on what I think is called 'the wrong side of the tracks' but that didn't deter us one little bit. We did find it in spite of its rather weird façade and as it was 7.30 in the evening - a good time to dine - when a waiter eventually came forward, announced "it's a bit early", we asked when would be a better time, he replied "in half an hour or so", my husband asked if they prepare any vegetarian dishes, the reply was "you'll have to ask the cook". Upon that, we just turned round and walked out, wondering haw they had accrued so many glowing reviews, could it be the pretentious décor or maybe the food really is good - but we'll never know!!!!!!
