Had a business lunch. They have introduced a new formula. We had 4 small dishes. Two appetizers and two small main courses. Chef's surprise menu. Which tasted just great. The restaurant is located in a great park. Service was very friendly. I would recommend this to my best friends.

My daughter and I had a pizza and Tiramisu for desert. The pizza 's were great. The tiramisu looked like it came from a machine, tube-like. Not so great. The staff were very friendly. They communicate mainly in Italian with eachother, adding to the Italian atmosphere.

After good previous experiences we decided to have the Indonesian Rijsttafel as our 3rd Christmas dinner.
I ordered in advance and when we came to pick it up, it was already available. For 8 people including extra baked rice we paid a total of 136,50 (yes, for take out!) but thought it would be worth the money.
Back at home we noticed two things:
- very small portions
- the food was lukewarm
What a disappointment! The nicest food was the baked rice, the meatballs and baked banana. The sate pieces were tiny, the baked pork was tough, the vegetables were greasy and tasteless. And the size of the portions was really small. Next time we're going to another restaurant.

Stayed two nights at the hotel and had dinner here one of the nights. We had no trouble getting a table. Our server had OK English and was very friendly. I had the schnitzel which was good. I loved the sauce! I usually don't eat dessert, but everything looked tempting! I tried a dessert that was a cream puff covered in chocolate! Wonderful! Portion sizes were good for the price.

Tapas restaurant on the waterside (but they serve other dishes too). We've been here a few times and usually chose one of the tapas menus. All dishes are good, but I really love their soup! One of the few restaurants where you can sit outside in the sun in the evening!

We have visited this restaurant multiple times and are always extremely pleased by the exceptional friendly service, the frequently changing meny and the excellent food. Real value for money.
The service is exceptionally keen to answer any requests. In the past we have enjoyed everything from an evening long dinner with friends to an intimate dinner for two. The last visit, we had a quick dinner in the outdoor Seating area just beside the river (Oude Rijn). It was great!

Barista is a nice looking coffee bar/ lunch restaurant with some +'s and some downsides.. Plusses are the great coffee's and the homemade cookies, the look and atmosphere are welcoming and friendly, and the fact that its about the only nice spot in the 'ground zero-like' state of the surroundings on this side of Alphen at the moment. Half of the old city center was taken down intentionally, the rest of it has become inaccessible due to the two large cranes that fell on buildings a couple of weeks ago.
Downsides: The lunch menu is ok, but only 1 option for vegetarians, and the Sandwich toppings are just about enough. Toilets are not too clean and the wifi is not steady. It gives the impression that the place need a little more care and attention than it's currently getting.

Greek cuisine isn't always my first choice, but I was taken to this place by some locals. The members of staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly, and the food was very good indeed. The portions were extremely generous too.
There was a salad bar that was well stocked with a wide variety of fresh produce.
All in all, it was a good experience!

We went, as a family for a birthday dinner. The cafe is very easy to find, at the edge of a car park and in a small mall.
We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and were quickly shown to some seats by the fireplace, for drinks while we waited. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Our drinks arrived in minutes and we waited, comfortably, for the rest of our party to arrive and for the table.
When we got to our table, we were served quickly. The waitress coped very easily with one of our group that only spoke English and she explained the special of the evening well.
The food arrived quickly but with enough time for us to chat. We were served asparagus soup as a taster and it was really delicious. The appetisers arrived and we enjoyed most of them. The fish and soup appetisers were great. The steak tartare less so as it did not seem to be fresh and was, strangely, served on toast.
The main courses were good. We tried a mixture of fish and duck and found all the dishes well prepared and cooked.
Dessert was the sachertorte. Although the torte itself was small, it was served with various sauces and ice cream and was delicious.
A good night, largely thanks to the friendly, relaxed and efficient service.

I had several times dinner here, as well business wise as private, and my company and I were never disappointed. The advise is to make reservation two days before, because it is nearly always full. Price-quality is acceptable, price rating is higher than average. Service is very good, tables are a bit too close to eachother from my point of view. Verry good choice in wines and a good menu. The location is on the border of the Oude Rijn (Old Rhine) next to one of the (bike riders and pedestrians only) Bridges of Alphen aan den Rijn. Worth to visit.
