Opened only from Monday to Friday for lunches only. Give us a phone call for availibility. A Creole traditional restaurant in Mauritius, a unique know-how .... Between the famous Rougaille Creole sausage, cang mocked cabbage and salted fish, traditional curry chicken creole, or broth 'zourite and coconut chutney' Escale Creole remains the TABLE where you and your guests can make the unique experience of a "real Manze Lacaze" , hearty and generous !!! In a large veranda, we can serve between 2 and 50 seats on large tables with traditional gingham tablecloths. Our "table d'hote" allows each client to help himself laid flat on the table well Mauritian way, so that everyone is free to be reserved if desired
We stumbled upon this restaurant when we went to Eureka museum, and we're glad we did. The hostess was so friendly and welcoming. Their style of serving food gives you the opportunity to sample all the great Mauritian dishes. We will come back before we leave the island for sure.

Service was exceptional, all the staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. Food was fresh, simple Mauritian style and they cater for both tourists and locals. As a family of 4 we had 2 starters, 4 mains, 2 desserts, 8 beers and 2 glasses of wine for £60 (as we are English), the best value for money one can ask for! They also offer private excursions across the Albion coastline for dolphin watching, snorkelling, fishing and whatever else you want! We will most defiantly be returning at least once a week for the rest of our stay in Mauritius and I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody looking for a nice meal!

We spent a number of lovely evenings at Waves Restaurant. Kenneth, Ashvin and their staff were always warm and welcoming. They were so accomodating on nights when we didn't have a reservation. Lovely vibe in the restaurant, especially on nights with live music.Taking a post-dinner cocktail out onto the balcony to listen to the ocean and enjoy the revelry is a must.
Thank you Ashvin and Kenneth for delicious food and your warm hospitality!!

A nice little mauritian owned italian restaurant in Albion with great pizza. Since I am vegan it is no problem to order the for example Giardino without cheese. Very great taste! Take away is possible.

We stayed in Fic en Flac in December near the beach, and I am in love with Roti aka Vinoda. There are various snack joints selling roti, but these guys made it fresh right there, and it was simple but heavenly!
Since the small place is now getting popular, there is a huge line around lunch time. We used to visit it early in the morning or in the evening when the line was smaller. And did I say how cheap it was?
recommendation: Order more than one. You will want to eat more and then there will be a line again.
Awesome stuff!

Warm welcome, nice snack food, and typical home-made style local cuisine. Good for Friday and Saturday dinners. Better call before popping there.
