Papiesfontein Beach Horse Rides

Just 10 km outside Jeffreys Bay and 70 km from Port Elizabeth, between the Gamtoos and Kabeljous rivers, lies the farm Papiesfontein. Here, on this special piece of land, the unique combination of bush, river and beach come together to offer you an unforgettable ride. Experienced guides escort riders twice daily along the 13km circular route. The trail takes about two hours to complete, leading through beautiful fynbos coastal vegetation, towards the Gamtoos river with breathtaking views from the dunes and finally returning along a 6 km stretch of deserted beach. Here on this isolated beach, riders can canter their mounts in the shallows or have an exhilarating gallop on the sand. The trail provides magnificent views of the area and affords ample opportunity to spot a variety of bird species, tortoises, bushbuck, plant and marine life. Imagine whale watching from horseback!

When visiting JBAY and the Fountains Mall we found it a very nice and relaxing shopping center.
Ample parking, with all the usual brand shops available.
Our favourite places to shop at were Woolworths, Pick and Pay, Jay Bay Computers,Dis-Chem.
The place has some nice relaxing coffee shops.
ATMs are available throughout the mall as well.
The rest-rooms are always clean and tidy.
There is a McDonald's at the entrance too.
Very relaxing , enjoyable with everything available that one would get in a Big City, with out the Hustle Bustle and stress.
As anywhere in the world, always be mindful where you park and not leave possessions visible in the vehicle.
Tourists are always spotted a mile away and can be easy targets.
Must say that they do have security all over the mall.
Thank you for a great shopping experience.
Regards
Ben and Family. Botswana
Ps: One thing that stood out to us was the friendliness of the cashiers at all the shops. Always polite, friendly, courteous and very customer friendly.
Service Excellence in action.

Brewery on the Beach

Like most craft Breweries, we started off as a home brewer before graduating into a fully established brew house. To get to our eclectic bar, you first walk through the part where all the action happens, giving you a sneak peak into the operations of a working brewery, from start to finish. Once you are past the gleaming tanks of fermenting happiness, you can get down to the serious business of beer tasting. Sitting at our bar, you can be confident that your next draft is only a few steps away and direct from the source. Enjoying a good craft beer can work up quite an appetite, luckily we have a carefully selected menu that is paired to the occasion. Try the fresh fish and chips, done either battered or gently simmered in white wine and fennel, or for something spicy the Jalapeno poppers are a must.

Keep up the good work guys!
