The architecture of the building is modern but inspired by Sami's tent. There is a guided tour to the Sami's Parliament but the latest is 14:30. I was a bit late and miss the chance to see further. So make sure to check the schedule if you want to know more.

Boble glasshytte is Finnmark’s first and only glassblowing studio, with an open workshop and sales gallery. The workshop is located in Sapmi park in Karasjok, alongside many other exciting local attractions. The heart and centre of the glasstudio is the furnace, where the hot, glowing mass of molten glass is lovingly blown and crafted into cold, hard and beautiful glass products while you watch. All the glass in the sales galler is made right here. Want to try glassblowing yourself? Contact us for bookings, and we'll help you blow your very own ornament or drinking glasses!
When visiting Sapmi park, spend sometimes to Boble Glasshytte--a glass art shop. It has various hand-made interior decorations, glasses, and many more. There is a demonstration part right behind the show room part. You can see how these art-glasses are created.Hi, and thank you so much for your positive review, how nice to hear that you enjoyed Boble glasshytte. We very much appreciate feedback from our visitors and customers. Welcome back anytime! All the best - Tonje

First experience on snowshoes! Veeery hard but definitely worth it as we managed to see the Northern Lights that night because we were on top of the mountain and the rest of the city was under the fog so the Lights were not visible from the city.
Amazing experience!!! Thank you!

Sámiid Vuorká-Dávvirat - established in 1972, as the first Sámi museum and today the largest Sámi museum in Norway. The aim of establishing the museum was to promote Sámi culture and to reinforce the Sámi people's status as an ethnic group. In the outdoor museum there are Sámi buildings, among them a unique agricultural smallholding and a several thousand year old hunting pit construction for hunting wild reindeer. We have one of the world's largest collections of traditional Sámi clothing. In the Exhibitions you can see examples of Sámi clothing traditions from different areas and time periods. Sámiid Vuorká-Dávvirat / Samiske Samlinger shows from the collection of Sámi contemporary art, an impressive collection that comprises almost 1400 items managed by RiddoDuottarMuseat. A new building to house the Art Unit is under development. Opening Hours - see website rdm.no

Do you need informastion on activities and accommodation in the Karasjok area? Please stop by the tourist information and get the information you need on the area and the rest of Finnmark. We are specialists on sami kulture and activities. Welcome to a fascinating and exotic adventure in the heart of Sápmi – Kárášjohka/Karasjok. Around 90% of the local population speak Sami, and the area is home to approx. 60,000 reindeer on autumn and winter grazing. Pay a visit to an authentic Sami family, see the reindeer and listen to the stories of past and present Sami culture. Taste Sami food such as bidos, a traditional reindeer stew, and listen to the fascinating joik, the Sami chant. We can also recommend a trip up onto the mountain plain in the winter, by ski, on a sled pulled by reindeer or huskies, or on a snowmobile. You will never forget the sight of the Northern Lights dancing over the winter skies, and the fascinating diversity of Sami culture and activities. Population: approx. 2,900. Area, municipality: 5,464 km².
Karasjok is a town at the border between Norway, Finnmark and Finnland. Sameting is the name of the Parliament of a state that has never existed. Here based on the the autonomous rights of the Samish people from Norway, Sweden and Finland, a National Assembly has its main house.
More interesting is the open air museum of the Samish. You can join spiritual sessions, visit old houses (or better to say) huts in which people once managed to survive the coldest part of Norway. The record temperature was below 50 degrees C, not Fahrenheit. One can also buy many interesting goods including knives, books about the life in Northern Europe, the new home of the Samish. Their origin is Central to North Asia and Siberia.

A very artistic video tells the history of the Sami culture, with especial attention to those whose lives have centered around reindeer herding. Learn about how they integrate the reindeer into their story of creation and how they integrate the Aurora Borealis into their believe system about the immortality of their ancestors.
Nearby are craftspersons making art glass and silver jewelry. The stores also sell many other types of souvenirs.
In the busy season there are introductions to reindeer lassoing and other aspects of Sami culture.
Our adventures roam the great experience of the Arctic, yet we retain a good knowledge of the local situation. The places we take you as a tourist, fisher or hunter are those we have visited ourselves, already as children with our parents and our reindeer herds. Join us in our river boats on the rivers surrounding Karasjok. We have boats in different rivers, ready to be used on short notice. In the major river we can accommodate up to 40 passengers. In areas with rapids we can accommodate 5 to 15 passengers. Join us for your next adventure!
