A different way to holiday. Change a beach program to an educational program in the star garden. Apartments and Observatory offers a remarkable experience, panoramic view, breathtaking night scenery, relaxation, instruments of Observatory, refreshment, performance of the enthusiastic and hospitable owner Stergos Manolakas. The scenic location that the "Hipparchos" Οbservatory is housed, offers at its guests the privilege of tranquility close to nature and breathtaking scenery. The guest has the opportunity to live an experience of observational Astronomy with our instruments of "Hipparchus" Observatory, observing the moon, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and many other astronomical objects of the starry sky. Made with care in our star-garden the guest can observe uranography, even find out how a live sundial works and see a static geographical compass orientation, and much more... Η πρόσβαση στο αστεροσκοπείο επιτρέπεται σε παιδιά μόνο άνω των 7 ετών. Access to the Observatory allowed only for children older than 7 years. Zutritt zur Sternwarte nur für Kinder über 7 Jahre. Вход в обсерваторию разрешён только с детьми старше 7 лет How to find us: Coming from the highway Rhodes Town to Lindos you pass some traffic lights, after the road to Faliraki Centre and the St. Nektarios Church and about 150 meters away you find the next set of traffic lights where you branch off left and continue the street on the right. Pass Evi-hotel and a small Roundabout. Continue about 350 meters then go right towards Liberia-hotel, on the left there is a Tennis court. After about 650 meters you will find a crossing (Profitis Amos Church) here take the middle street way, so you will find after 250 meters two yellow buildings. Passing by take the street right hand up the hill. Then turn left.
Awesomeness overload!... Such a beautiful place, with very nice atmosphere in the cafe (lovely music, very friendly people, yummy food and drinks). We saw the Moon, Jupiter, and stars, with lots of interesting facts. Thank you so much, Stergos!

Recently attended a Greek wedding there. A beautiful church like most Greek churches. Can cater for a reasonable number of people

This lovely inlet and beach sits adjacent to the already listed Ladiko Beach. It is where several scenes were filmed for the "Guns of Navarone" motion film, which featured the actor Antony Quinn, hence its name.
May 2017: Pro: Scenic and beautiful nature location. Do not miss the view from the hilltop down to the bay. Walking from Faliraki (not for flip flops), the footpath starts next to the astronomy café (with the telescope observatory) on the hilltop.
Con: Quinn is overcrowded - already during the month of may. It has a small and narrow gravel beach with as many blue sunscreens as possible squeezed between waterfront and hillslope. The water is crystal clear. It could be (Mediterranean) snorkeler's paradise. But the marine wildlife is driven away by way too many swimmers and snorkelers. In comparison to other places in Rhodes, and in absolute numbers: There were ALMOST NO FISH populating Anthony Quinn Bay. Any other snorkeling location on Rhodes (that has some rocks in the water) will bring you far more fish and submarine wildlife than Anthony Quinn Bay. Better enjoy lovely Quinn outside of the water. Every 15 minutes another yacht, glass bottom boat or charter tours enter the bay from the seaside, dropping of even more snorkelers. I saw the owner of the yellow pseudo-submarine glass bottom boat (from Faliraki) throwing bag loads of bread crumbs in the water to hopefully attract a fish school close to his customers. This habit disturbes the ecosystem, kills marine wildlife and pollutes the water.

This is a really good water park, very large with loads of thrill rides and safer ones for younger children. The price is rather steep and there is quite a lot of walking on rather uncomfortable walkways, so suitable shoes are recommended.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL on the Head First Mat Racer, as when you hit the water at the bottom the mat and its hand holds can, if not held tightly, slap back and hit you in the face, as happened to my partner. NASTY CUT NOSE. The staff in the first aid room were there to help, but not really that enthusiastic, nor did the guy use gloves while treating the bloody nose. It did put a dampener on our day.

Although not a sandy beach there were enough sun loungers and sun umbrellas available at a very reasonable cost. The taverna, run by Maria, was excellent. Good food and lovely friendly service. The majority of people on then beach were naturist but there was no compulsion to strip off if you didn't want too. Mainly middle aged couples from many different countries. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. There was no evidence of bad behaviour which had been reported in previous years. Would recommend this beach to all sun worshippers.

My favourite beach in Rhodes island. Pretty close to the city. Clear water, perfect for snorkling. The taverna has excellent food. The staff should be a little more service minded to the tourists though. Sometimes they unfortunately ignore people that are not greeks,
