A short hike for a small price.
The hike took 1 hour. And the price was 10 dollars.

The hike at the tenorio n.p. had only been open for a few days after Nate worked up the area. This was visible and made quite the impression on us. Never the less the trail was more then accessable and easy to complete. The views were amazing and we did spot some monkeys that put the cherry on the cake..

"The Highland Birds" is a botanical garden and a bird Observatory. The visit starts with an introduction of the history of the place and the species of flora and fauna are discussed. After this we take a hike through a trail in a reforested area and forest edge where we can observe many birds and other species. We finish our visit walking through a beautiful and protected rainforest.
Enriqueta and her partner's hospitality was exceptional. My wife and I had the opportunity to spend a relaxing afternoon wandering around the Costa Rican jungle, right behind the house. We were guided through the botanical garden, learning the basics of yucca harvesting: an AMAZING experience!
Enriqueta shared with us her knowledge about the social and natural environment perfectly tangled up in the Ticos' country.

The tourist information in Bijagua recommended the Finca 'Los Hijos del Bosque' to us and it was a wonderful experience. The whole family guided us through the cocoa plantations and the process from cultivation to harvest and the processing of the beans. But they did not limit themselves to the cocoa and showed as all the plants they are growing and how to use them as well as their philosophy of sustainable ecological production. The tour ended with the best chocolate I ever had! If the daughter at the university, the tour is in Spanish only.
New attractiv nearby the Tenorio´s national Park. Access to swimming in the Rio Celeste, Heated pool, horseback ridding, outdoor massages with volcanic clay.
