Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre

Founded in 2008 by British expats Sue and Rod Weeding, our non-profit rescue centre saves neglected, abused and abandoned horses, ponies and donkeys across the Alicante region of Spain. We open to the public on the first Sunday of every month from 1pm to 4pm. Meet our horses, ponies and donkeys and hear their incredible rescue stories during a free guided tour.

Visited here on the first Sunday of the month which is open day. What amazing people they are there, caring and loving these animals they have saved from some horrendous situations. This place is run by charity and love alone. They have charity shops in most place to help fund the place along with donations. What would we do without them. On site you get a guided tour around the site and see how well the animals are cared for. They also have a lovely Cafe and charity shop on site.

Harrys Bar

We eat in Harrys Bar several times on our visits to Quesada in Spain. Friendly, efficient, comfortable surroundings, great friendly ex pat crowd and staff. They make the best fish and chips in Quesada, in our opinion. Nothing is any trouble to the team here, we recommend to all the guests who visit our home here. I can't fault it!!!

La Marquesa Golf

La Marquesa Golf, was designed and founded in 1989 by D. Justo Quesada, at it was named “Club de Golf Quesada”. Due to it’s proximity to Alicante city it quickly reached a significant number of members and at certain moments it was estimated that 80% of players from the province had hit their first balls there. In 1994 the name was changed to “La Marquesa Golf & Country Club”, a name which got to be known all over Europe, thanks to the Real Estate development created by the Quesada family. An ambitious project of more than 15,000 homes which they named Ciudad Quesada. This is a great residential development with more than 30,000 properties around the golf course. It was incredible to see how many different people from so many different nationalities became members , and have always created a wonderful and friendly environment. Throughout these years, important changes have occurred, technical as well as design improvements, but always respecting the principle of offering a varied route, where the player can truly enjoy the course as well as playing the sport they’re passionate about.

Went here for around of 9 holes, expecting it to take under two hours. In the event it took nearly three hours and became very tedious. They had obviously booked too many tee times and the waiting times were ridiculous. At Euros 79 for two 9 holes and a buggy, it's not cheap. The couple behind us give up after 4 holes. There needed to be a marshal going round as some people clearly didn't have a clue (I'm a beginner myself but at least I know the etiquette of golf, which some people clearly did not).

Quesada Bowling

Have been many times with the grandkids and although not massive still a pleasant couple of hours. Only gripe is people have to walk in front of your lanes sometimes which can be annoying but apart from that very reasonable prices.

Cuevas del Rodeo de Rojales

Reviewed By Lisaw1970 - Bristol, United Kingdom

After having holidays on Costa Blanca for over 10years we found out about the caves and though it might be worth a visit. A short drive from Torrevieja to the small town of Rojales, we parked easily on a side street. The caves are clearly signposted in the town. A short stroll later and we found the picturesque whitewashed cave houses. We were welcomed to look around the cafe and a cave of a seamstress who sells leather handmade goods. We were also given information and shown around by a very helpful English speaking tour guide who gave a brief history and answered questions (all free of charge). Great to find something new and different to see and do.

Shenanigans Irish Bar

Reviewed By Angela L - Doncaster, United Kingdom

What a wonderful way to relax in the heat of the day. Myself and 3 friends visited this bar last year during our first holiday in Rojales and we made sure that during our recent holiday we visited on 2 occasions to enjoy the fantastic cocktails, and I certainly enjoyed the Irish Russian cocktail. The 4 of us had a relaxing hour at the bar and met some people we had seen last year (just proves that people return year after year to this bar). Don't miss a visit. On the night of the Man U/Ajax match the bar was very busy when we walked past and we noted that they were doing special meals at half time. Angela (Doncaster) 27th May 2017
