Boat trip in the Kragero archipelago is full of adventure and excitement. Experience Southern Norway's most beautiful archipelago with Kragero Fjordbatselskap! Kragero Fjordbatselskap AS was established 1896. The company operates today transport service in the whole Kragero archipelago, on water and land. We have three Ferries, the M/F Kragero, the B/F Jesper and the B/F Naus. The M/F Kragero is our new pride. It was launched the spring 2005, and has a capacity for 250 passengers and 24 personal vehicles. Both Jesper and Naus have a capacity for 200 passengers and 11 vehicles. All of our Ferries have build for breaking down thick ice. Kragero Fjordbatselskap has therefore in over 20 years had responsibility for the industry in the harbour area.

Berg is a charming manor house in Louis XVI style from 1803. The house used to belong to the family Homann in Kragero. The last owner, Miss Jenia Homann who died in 1943, donated it to Kragero Local Authorities for use as a museum. The main building has interior and furniture from different eras, mostly from the 1800s, but also from older periods and from Jeia Homann's own time. In addition to the manor house, there are also several buildings around Bergsbukta that have been transferred to the museum. All of them have connection to the coastal culture in Kragero district. A new exhibition building houses collections from coastal environment and Exhibitions devoted to art and coastal culture. The park and belonging forest is a beautiful and popular recreation area with nature trails and fine Beaches for bathing in Helle Fjord. There are good parking space, guest harbour and well-protected natural harbour in the area. The museum building has museum shop and cafe. Berg-Kragero Museum owns and runs also Kittelsen House in the centre of Kragero. It is where artist Theodor Kittelsen was born in 1857, and is now a museum for Exhibitions of Kittelsen's works.

Kragero Ridesenter is run by Helle and Trond Clemmetsen with children Kaisa (21), Jarl (15) and Mads (13). Helle and Trond are the main instructors, and both have been Step-3 at Norwegian Horse Centre. Helle teaches much in dressage, but also jumping. Both Helle and Trond are active riders for jumping. Trond starts up for Grand Prix in jumping. Kristine Tinnesand teaches some in riding school and at our riding camps. She is trained at Starum (Step 2). Now we also have Sam Coles employed in the stable. He is from England but mastered Norwegian already very good. In addition they are going to work in the stable. You can get a horse for your own use, or you can bring your horse, and it will be a lot of riding and fun. It is possible to ride in the riding house and the outdoor ground, together with long and pleasant trails in the beautiful nature. Around our place we also have a gallop track for speed and excitement. Own horse At our place you are able to train your horse and yourself. You are welcome to us no matter how you do horse riding, as a hobby base or training for competitions. We accept everyone. You can bring your own horse without any additional charges. Accommodation Kragero Ridesenter has high standard accommodation. We can offer a pleasant space with furnished room with TV and video, kitchen and bathroom. There will always be some adults at the place. Food is homemade and would be something both adults and children like. Activities We can offer amusing activities in addition to horse and riding. You can for example swim in our heated swimming pool. The pool has its own opening hours and there always be a swimming guard. Close to the riding centre there is sea and Kragero's idyllic Islands. You can go for swimming or boat trips. We also have a trampoline, and we arrange social gatherings with ball games and grilling.

The Kragero Tourist Office, which is run by Visit Kragero, can supply you with information and help you with concert tickets and excursions. We also provide assistance for the media and for journalists wishing to visit the town, as well as suggestions for short-break holidays. It is run according to the “Green Badge” guidelines adopted by Innovation Norway. This means that our information centre is manned throughout the year and has extended opening hours from June to August. Kragero Art Association welcomes you to exciting Exhibitions on the second floor at P. A. Heuchs Gate 6. Our association was established in 1935, on initiative of Erik Areritz. In November in the same year, the first exhibition was arranged at Legatsalen with several artists such as Guido Schjolberg, Ole Kornin, Olaf Tangen and Per Lia. Since then, the art association held Exhibitions of such as Collett, Thaulow, Krohg, Schjolberg, Tangen etc. Kragero Art Association has had several premises throughout years. From 1971 to the end of the 1980s, the association was held at a beautiful hall in Wiborggaren. At that time Kragero Art Association was renewed in many ways, and the old principles are still fundamental of our now existing association. It was a rich time for the association in Wiborggarden. It pursued high quality, and a rich selection of both national and foreign artists were viewed, together with Exhibitions of National Gallery. The hall became suitable for first-class Concerts, both for Concerts Norway and other performers. Afterwards, Wiborggarden developed oneself as a culture house, and further, it was needed for private purposes. Eventually Kragero Art Association ended up in today's premises at P. A. Heuchs Gate 6.
