The Ritzensee is a beautiful little lake at the fringe of Saalfelden. A walk around the lake is definitely recommended because it gives you panoramic views in all directions. It also serves a a place to swim, but although it is said that the water quality is good, we were hesitant to go for a swim because the water looks quite murky. While in the area, one should also walk up to the Aussichtswarte. It gives you even more panoramic views in into all four Valleys and its surroundings.

The museum is small, count on an hour to see everything at leisure and to get a good idea of the history of the area. It's location is very attractive - a few meters away from Lake Ritzen, so plan on a walk around the lake before or after the museum visit (also about an hour). My favourite display in this museum is a model of the Mountains surrounding Saalfelden, made by young students of a local school.

We visited Imkerei (Beekeeper) Höttl after Reading about them in a hotel we stayed in near by. As we like honey and also are interested to know more about the process behind it we thought this would be a nice thing to do - but it was MUCH better than we had expected.
The couple running the place were both very welcoming and answered all our questions. It is not very big but very cosy, and the hives with the 'production bees' are not there, but there are some 'show production bee hives' there which is fully enough.
A few things to keep in mind if you plan a visit:
1) As we speak German I'm not sure how much information they provide in English, but if you understand any German and are the slightest interested then visit them. Maybe they'll provide feedback here over language possibilities.
2) They are only open two days/week (at least when we were there) so check the times, or call to make an appointment.
3) Make sure to see the film!! It was so interesting and informative.
I left with a new found respect of the bees and the honey. Simply amazing. But giving such a great review can be dangerous as it raises expectations, however, this is what we thought of the place, the atmosphere, the information - all excellent. There is also a shop where you can by their products.

1.6 km long with 61 curves, open from 9 am to 6 pm during August.
The slide was great fun one of the best in the region, everybody liked it. The queue was ok when we arrived in the morning but by noon time the wait just to buy tickets was about 20 min.
There was a shop selling ice cream and snacks.
The slide ticket price was reasonable. You have a choice to buy multiple rides ticket (3 or 6) at discounted rate.

We have never tried rodeln before, and if you don't know the activity, then it's a small sledge on wheels that you use in summer time to drive down a sledge track. Absolutely mega fun! The track is 1,6 km long and about 60 swings during the ride. So, enjoy the lift up, and the drive down. Breaks can bring the sledge to full stop anywhere. So much fun!! Enjoy.
