I love the environment, surroundings.. the building itself.. love it!
I can see a lot of spaces and deparment that should be great to visit but only i building is open for exhibition.. i dont have enough to see when am here.. i want to see more. I hope there will be improvements in the future for this museum.

Pekan is a relaxed Royal town, situated along the Pahang river. The beautiful Moorish style mosque was built in 1929 and has just been renovated to become a museum with historical islamic artefacts (some over a 1000 years old) and among others also an nice collection of musical instruments. You are welcome to just relax in this well airconditioned area, read some of the books or have a talk with other guests.
There is no entry fee and you will find the Museum Sultan Abdullah just next door. You will also be able to find simple restaurants within walking distance.

After 4 long years of waiting, finally this museum reopen on October 2012. The buildings now in white and the landscape here full of sculptures. Interior decoration here quite good and in each section has an interactive segment to provide knowledge in an interesting way. Overall, this museum is well worth to visit, with the fusion of the past and today.

If you so happen to be in Pekan, take a short drive to the Royal Polo Field and nearby is the official residence of the Sultan of Pahang. You are not allowed to enter the area, so it is just a view from outside the walls. For some reason, there is a plane decorated right behind the walls of the residence. The Sultan of Pahang was an avid Polo player, thus the playing field nearby. You could also see horses there too.
