4 persons, 2 children , 2 adults, 41 euro in total for swimming only and one with the optional sauna.
Is this a low price? Depends...
This is a special lower price because entrance time is with this price from 18.45. No second earlier! Rules are rules!
So when entering the facility and then doing a short sauna, this will reasonably takes at least an hour. But in that case you are too late for any drinks at the sauna bar, because bar is closed for the last round at 19.45 !
Can you imagine?!
So I went to the swimming pool dining area to try the service over there.
Guess what? That restaurant for was also closed, the entrance is blocked with a chair at 20.30 and the lights are out.
Can we dive deeper into these troubles?
Because I'm getting thirsty! Sure, from the five pools there is not any pool available suitable for diving. Great with energetic teenagers who likes to dive into deeper waters.
Further more;
When asking how save it is, this is the factual answers along with my observations at the reception:
One lifeguard for 5 swimming pools in different spaces. But hey, we have a monitor screen at the receptionist desk, (meanwhile doing other activities like selling tickets, etc.). But no worries there are no electronic underwater surveillance systems available against drowning. So bring your kids, they have a nice monitor to watch them safely.
Conclusion: They have it all, except customer focus.

A very picturesque small lake with wonderful mountain Panorama above. There is a nice walking trail around the lake and a nice terrasse-restaurant at one end. Very popular on hot summer days and also popular as a destination for Cross-country skiers in the winter. There is also a nice challenging MTB route above the lake with wonderful views over the lake.

Use of the Alpenstrasse is included in your Tauplitz ski pass so we drove up to the top one day and parked near the very nice Hollhaus Hütte and could go directly on the ski hill from the parking lot. The road was kept well cleared although with lots of snow chains or 4WD is advised.
I have also cycled up this road in the summer for a good 11 km workout and the reward of a stop in one of the nearby Cabins and the wonderful views.

We enjoyed a great time on this man-made lake. We hired two canoes - one for my wife and me, the other for two friends. The weather was great, the sun really beat down on us. I'd recommend sun protection as I managed to get burned. When you're halfway into a 2 hour canoe trip and you notice you're getting burned, there isn't much you can do!
So the pictures will tell more, but we were just in awe at how beautiful the lake and surrounding area is. The rocks, the trees, the banks etc. just go up and up. It was a brilliant experience, we'd love to do it again!
