Apart from being the home of beautiful, and historically very important, Vršačka kula (Vršac Castle), this place gives you the opportunity to enjoy an amazing scenic view. From the Vršac Castle you can see hundreds of kilometeres around (especially during sunny days), which is pretty astonishing. Not only the view, but also the fresh air and pretty nice walking paths around the castle will offer only pleasure to you. If you're around Vršac, do make sure to visit this place and you definitely won't regret it.

In the town of Vrsac is, unfortunately, very little capital preserved buildings from the 18th and early 19th century. One of the survivors of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Gerhard, called "cathedral", primarily because of its majestic appearance, although has never been the seat of the bishop. The interior of the church is richly equipped with carved furniture, decorated with wall and altar paintings, stained glass and sculptures. The highest and most striking buildings Vrsac is its Cathedral, whose twin towers can easily see from afar.

WHILE TOWER PROTECTS CITY VRSAC
By Zoran Slavic

Vršac is a city in Serbia, in the province of Vojvodina, in the region of Banat, in that I am often going. It is situated on the slopes of Vrsac Mountains, which are part of a larger mountain system whose surface is 170 square kilometers, of which 122 in Serbia and Romania in the 48 square kilometers.
This classy town is through the ages always had a special feature that is also represented valuable barometer of life in it. In my early departures, the city has marked a significant figure of the playwright Jovan Sterija Popovic whom time does not diminish the relevance and significance. The city was then called, and Sterija town. Then
Encounters epoch that marks the incredible rise of pharmaceutical industries, "Hemofarm". This drugs factory he simply changed the face of the city and turned Vrsac into a modern town. As part of the investment in the city, this giant has provided funds to raise universal hall "Millennium" Today that represents the Vrsac region. Millennium Center is one of the most beautiful buildings including sports and business and entertainment centers in Serbia. Build in 2001. year.
While standing in a large sport hall, known especially for basketball matches, leafing through a brochure on the multiplexes of object: Millennium Center can to commend successful organizations, numerous Concerts both in the sports arena as well as in Congress and the music hall. Not only Concerts, theater productions, but also for children and adults, cinema screenings, various conventions and conferences gathered numerous theater, film and other widest variety of audiences with our and foreign space. In the travel agency, which is part of the Millennium, I recall to ancient historian Felix Milekera, and his '' Banater Buherei ," those described jewels of the old Banat, through my consciousness spring Bishop's Palace, Magistrate, Mesic Monastery, wine cellars in Grdelica, and Vasko Popa, a poet who has translated the ancient to the modern sensibility. He gave one poem on wine, which in Vrsac is much more than a beverage. It is, with grapes, serene view through the front of Vrsac Hill: "In other grapes / street fall asleep at noon, / And the last untamed bagpipes / Bigger than the Town Hall."
Then I go to Vrsac Hill (Vrsac hill). To see the city from above. And Hall "Millennium" whose shell the blue haze that this city, when the wind stops, takes under his wing. The city looks like it's tied to the Breg ( Hill) and the Tower. Historically, geographically and mentally. It came to him somehow as if to say that settlement comes on the river. Or, it is at the sea. This tower is much more than a historic building on the hill. It is a mark of the time. Part of the mental image. The Headquarters memory. As Lightning rod this part of the plains. Transmitter. Receiver. The fort was built at an altitude of 400 meters, on the plateau which dimensions are 40 times 17 meters. What apparently seems modest, but this Breg and its tower, as a sudden emphasis of this flat panel Pannonian have unequaled drama. It is assumed that the entire fort built Đurađ Smederevac (1427-1456), and after the fall of Smederevo all Despotate 1439th with the aim of protecting their lands in the territory of Vojvodina.
On the hill (Breg) slim Tower down in the valley - hall "Millennium," in the souls of people Vrsac - wise playwright Sterija. Around vineyards spread, then endless plains!

Family Winery Vinik

Reviewed By LokSeseSeko - Oslo, Norway

My girlfriend and I visited this winery July 2 2013. Fantastic experience, with tastings together with the son of the boss (the father actually was some kind of a knight of winers in the region and showed us his fancy knight clothing in the end of our tasting).
After tastings of their regular wine, including a chardonnay on oak casks and a red spiced dessert wine, we got to choose which ones we liked the most, and got more of them as well as home cooked cheese snacks. Really nice! The son also gave us home made grape brandy and schnapps. We ended up buying two bottles of wine and one bottle of grape brandy and probably drank close to two bottles of wine, and didnt pay more than 3-4000 dinars.
In the end our host reallised that we did not have our own car, and asked if we wanted them to drive us to the top of the mountain and show us around in the town - for free! Great hosts and a fabulous experience!

Gradska kuca

Reviewed By IgorMarkovic - Smederevo, Serbia

Gradska kuća is situated in the Vršac's city centre, and it is home of the local municipality Parliament. The interesting thing about this 18th century building is that it was subsequently (two times - in 19th and 20th century) expanded, so today it basically has three different historical faces to show. It's a nice example of mixture of different styles - in this case - mostly seccesionist and classicist ones.

Gradski Museum

Reviewed By Oleg Y - Belgrade, Serbia

This City Museum is located in Zarka Zrenjanina str., former Felix Mileker str., just after City Park, going downward toward the very center of Old Town of Vrsac. The building of Museum is of very beautiful exterior appearance, with pleasant whitewashed facade, high frontal windows, decorative ionic columns and wide and high main arched entrance.
We entered inside this very rich museum, consisted of many departments, such as sections of archaeology, history, numismatics, ethnology, arts, natural history, then one studio of painting conservation and restoration and finally, a pottery conservation workshop.
One of the very much interesting buildings within this complex of City Museum is for sure Concordia, in fact the Banat Regional Centre of Cultural Heritage Protection. Here, we saw many items representing the way of living of the people of Banat through the centuries.
Not to miss when in Vrsac.
