Perfect for swimming, Surfing and relaxing on the beach.
Great easy walk from Wanda to Bass and Flinders with spectacular views the whole way. Can stop for a bite along the way with several cafes and restaurants.
Dogs are allowed on Wanda beach on Sunday morning which always creates a great vibe.
Keep walking beyond Wanda for about 1km and you’ll get to Boat Harbour. Another great spot for swimming and 4WD.
Free parking along the beach.

On Saturday we kayaked from Audley Weir to Bundeena and very much enjoyed it.
We parked the car in Bundeena and were then driven up to Audley where we started our kayaking. We were given good instructions together with a waterproof map. Our kayak (a double) was very stable and we found the trip easy going. We did not travel as part of a guided group which no problem at all.
We stopped off twice to stretch the legs and take in the beautiful waterway.
We saw some pretty good bird life along the way.......including kingfishers and night herons.
We had a great time and highly recommend this activity.

For American visitors, lunch at the park’s cafe came with thrilling views of wild cockatoos flitting through the nearby trees. We enjoyed tasty panini as a pair of ducks paraded their fluffy youngsters under our table. You can’t beat this spot for lunch with a view.

I had an amazing experience learning how to dive with Abyss! Cody and Alek, our instructors, were fabulous. They were patient and very supportive, which is exactly what you need when you are learning to dive. A big thank you to them and all the other instructors! The ocean dives were unreal, seeing gus the blue groper was a highlight! Highly recommend diving with them

We went whale watching at Cape Solander last Saturday and enjoyed the experience. There volunteer whale watchers had already spotted 57 Humpback Whales and 17 Minke Whales. We saw a couple of pods of whales when we arrived. There were crowds of people and parking was available as people were coming and going.
I recommend you purchase a National Parks entry permit for your car before entering the park. Scores of cars were booked on the weekend by Park Rangers for not having a valid parking permit.

I decided to show my sister in law, visiting from Melbourne, the Hazelhurst complex. She had previously lived in Sydney and had visited once. The gallery was showing a display of art work depicting sport. Not our thing but interesting all the same. We toured the rest of the gallery and grounds. It really is a lovely place to visit and very relaxing with the stream meandering down the grounds. That has been done very well.

Chocolate shop & factory right next to Jannali Railway station. And now an ice creamery too with REAL cone ice creams! Captain Chocolate makes all products on the premises & factory production can be seen through a window from the shop. The Captain has won many awards & medals for the unique panned chocolate products. Sampling is available & all exciting products can be purchased. Some specialities are Salted Caramel Nibbles, Chilli Inca Berries, Dark Chocolate Orange Nibbles, a good range of Chocolate Coated Coffee Beans & lots more!

I actually live in Jannali and frequent this shop quite regularly. I love the dark chocolate covered dried cherries and inca berries. There is enough choice to suit all tastes, both milk and dark, also yummy milkshakes and ice-cream. The gentleman who runs the shop...MoreThanks a million for your thoughts and feedback Derek. A delightful bush setting on the Georges River. Plenty of walking and bike riding, lots of places to stop and exhale. Lovely spot for a picnic or just to relax and recharge the batteries. Lots of bird life and the calming Georges River makes for a lovely location for the whole family to enjoyl Toilet facilities and parking available.

The museum (run by volunteers) is a very interesting place. Whether you are old (and can reminisce about what it was like in Sydney when there were trams running) or whether you are young (and can inspect and experience what trams were like as transport), this is a good place to visit. The museum of trams is extremely well laid out - and the trams have been beautifully renovated. It is not at all boring - but fun to walk around and look at the different trams (those used as transport in all the different times of Sydney's history) but also to see the ones used to transport prisoners to gaol, etc. There are tram rides - one to Sutherland and another to the Royal National Park. Both are well worth doing, so as to experience tram travel - but also to ride through the Australian bush of the National Park There is a souvenir shop and a little kiosk at the site. The kiosk only sells cups of tea and ice creams, soft drinks and take away pies and sausage rolls. However, there is a really lovely picnic area with comfortable seats and tables (covered to shield from sun or rain) where you can partake of the lunch or morning/afternoon tea you can bring with you.

I've been visiting here for years. Some of the great facilities include:
- Childrens play area, BBQ facilities and plenty of green space to run around
- There is also a large, rocky area within the park
- A small, free, council swimming pool
- A small beach area that has a shark net
- Thai restaurant and cafe
- 2 small wharves where you can sit or fish
- Views from the park of the rail bridge, built in 1885. There is also a fairly flat pedestrian walk/bike path across the bridge all the way to Oatley
My only criticism is that several years ago the free car park was halved in size which now makes it difficult to find a park on busy weekends.
