We opted for the master wine and cheese tasting--8 different wines and cheeses selected to accompany them. All the pairings were well-explained by the staff and it was a fun gastronomic experience. We ended up purchasing a few bottles, which were well-wrapped for travel by...MoreThank you for the great review! We're so glad that you enjoyed your visit :)

This venue is like no other in this region, on arrival we tasted wine, then went on to taste beer, which was very interesting, learning the different ingredients used in beer making, the staff are extremely knowledgeable. We went on to taste chocolates of note, yum. Then it was coffee time, in a totally relaxed little garden.
Lastly we did locally made Gin and Grappa tasting which stirred up our appetite and we settled for a meal.
Absolutely fabulous, is all I can say about this winefarm

Enjoy our decadent cakes and a cup of freshly brewed coffee at the coffee shop, while taking in the stunning views of the alpaca herd, the dromedaries and Table Mountain in the background. Watch our weavers at work, interact with the alpacas and all the other animals in the petting zoo and have your kids use up all that pent-up energy on the jungle gym or go on an Alpaca Barn Tour. Farming alpacas under the stud name Manor House Alpacas since 2004, we started hand-weaving in 2012 as The Alpaca Loom. Today, the alpaca herd has grown substantially to over 300 animals. The fibre is sent for spinning and is then either hand-woven or woven on a mechanical loom in small runs on the actual farm. The Alpaca Loom produce a variety of woven scarves, shawls, blankets and rugs using the beautiful range of natural colours that their alpacas produce. Additionally there is a selection of exquisite hand-knitted mittens, beanies and jerseys available as well as an assortment of double-knit and ultra-chunky alpaca yarns. Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 Alpaca Barn Tours are offered every Friday to Sunday at 15:00 - Meet our alpaca herd up close and find out more about this special animal and its luxurious fiber. Alpaca Barn Tours are subject to an entrance fee.
Outside Cape Town, close to Paarl is an Alpaca farm with +- 300 alpaca and llama which are available to feed close up. Great experience for kids and adults.
Tours are available to see the baby alpaca, looms are being operated on the property and you can observe scarves etc being made.
Cafe serves great coffee, staff are super friendly.

Hand blown glass studio and gallery, where you can watch the actual process of blowing glass.
Came to have a look after a long time. Have many of their beautiful pieces. Worth a look. Expensive but pieces that will always remain a joy to have and to look at

A number of beers available for tasting, with a waitron taking you through the process. However, the tasting room can get crowded leading to a drop in service. Nontheless, beers are great, and worth a visit.

Another bad groupon experience! I know the business's won't make any money on groupon redemption, but that's not an excuse of making your customers having bad experience at your business.
The 2 round wine tastings are both serving on a board, instead of telling you the story and information one by one, their staff would tell u all the information of every wine right at the beginning, and good luck if u forgot what she told u about the very last wine that is on the tasting board.
And.... They serve their white wine & champers at room temperature! When we ask the staff if they would have any chilled sparkling and white wine for tastings, her answer was no, because their barrel are stored in -7 degree already. Barrel??? Did our tastings not coming out from the bottles but directly from the barrels??!!! Well.... Let me tell u, the sparkling wine and white wine are warm, they really are sour!!!!

Beautiful venue with various Seating areas for multiple parties/gatherings at the same time.
Children absolutely loved the waterslide.
My concern is that there is only one pool and that is at the end of the slides (4 slides end in same pool). Adults and children alike make use of these slides. The little ones who can not yet swim or who not yet have much water-confidence also play in this pool (on the steps leading out of the pool).
The venue has more than enough space for the construction of another pool. I would strongly suggest the provision of a shallow in-ground pool (possibly no deeper even than 600-900mm) to cater for the multitude of smaller children and those less water-confident. As a parent of one child able to maintain safety in the pool and one child VERY weary of all the splashing etc. and not yet able to swim, this additional suggested pool would bring significant comfort and enjoyment to the day.
I was unable to relax at all (or even sit down) during the whole 2 hours that we were there. I was glued to the little pool at the end of the slides where my youngest (6-year old) splashed around on the stairs.
There is also NO water safety notices displayed visibly, nor any water safety attendants on duty. I understand that the parents/guardians must take responsibility also, but with a beautiful and busy venue such as this one would expect at least one water safety attendant.
Other than the above recommendations to the venue owners and for raising the awareness with those who are considering a visit here, I can definitely recommend it as a family event with awesome birthday party recommendations. My kids LOVED it.

A small gem of a store with spices, preserves and interesting little knick knacks. Of some special attention are of course the excellent quality spices on offer all neatly laid out in open bowls so one can sample and make up little bags of mixed spices.

Andre and Sandra were professional from the very start but also really friendly and personable.
We booked their tours over a number of days and each time, everything was done with the same high level of excellence.
By the end of the trip, we felt as though we had made two new good friends and even met the rest of the family.
I cannot recommend them enough.
With many Thanks
Steve and Sonia
