I spent the day exploring this place after renting a car from Prague.
The trip was well worth it, this place is stunning. Really interesting buildings/architecture and history.
If I was to do a day trip from Prague again though, I think taking a tour would be better than driving yourself.

I have visited the Fotoatelier Seidl for the 2nd time after a couple of years. The history of the ownership is amazing and you can see a short document at the beginning of the tour. You can do a self-guided tour with an audio-guide and/or a guided tour which starts every hour. It is a hidden gem with wonderfully restored interiors in Art-Nouveau style. Many foreign visitors go to to the Castle which is overcrowded. This place is fine with wonderful ambiance and it is totally worth to visit. You can learn how people lived in this part of the world in 1800's and see old pictures from the beautiful Sumava Mountains.

An English-style park surrounds this romantic castle, rebuilt in the Tudor style during the mid-1800s. The castle interior features many objets d'art, paintings and tapestries from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Completely renovated/ rebuilt in the Gothic/Tudor English style by 19th century Schwarzenbegs, this wedding cake of a castle is a real contrast to others in the Czech Republic. We went on the English language guided tour of some of the inside Schwarzenberg rooms , which we greatly enjoyed, but , like all such tours, frustrating because too short and not enough time to take everything in, but at least, keeps the big bus tour groups outside, where they take selfies etc. Really enjoyed walking around the outside of the castle, especially with the three storey cast iron verandah on one end. Another lovely experience in the Czech Republic.

Our company provides shuttle bus transportation service between Cesky Krumlov or Ceske Budejovice, Vienna, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Linz, Prague and other destinations.
A great castle located in an absolutely beautiful town! I was there in the pouring rain but that made the experience even better. The castle grounds are great to explore, and the view over Cesky Krumlov is absolutely stunning! The castle tour is well worth the price - it provides lovely furnished room and great history. A must for all history buffs!

You can get to the attraction with the cable car or walking uphill. Both ways are funny. The walking construction is on top uf the hill, so when You climb on the top, You will see an amazing view to the landscape all around the Lipno lake. This attraction is suitable even for kids in chairs, because there are no steps except the top voew platform. For getting down You have to use the helter skelter. It is a must. Of course You can walk down the same route as You take to the top.
When You are in Lipno this attraction and the Forest Kingdom is worth to visit.

As a tourist from Hong Kong, a travel to CK was a fairy tale experience. Latran is the district below CK castle and it has beautiful cafes, the top restaurants in CK and there is a great riverfront walk Don't miss the historic Latran gate

The decorations in this room are incredible, it was a great place to enjoy a chamber music concert on our previous visit.

A must see in Pisek - also gets very touristy. The oldest stone bridge in the Czech Republic that also served as a prototype to the Charle's Bridge in Prague. Similar style, but much smaller. Extremely photogenic though, and often occupied by markets of a various sort.

The bell tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral was under construction from 1550-1577. At a height of 232 feet, it offers sweeping views of the Bohemian Forest and the Alps.
The Black Tower is situated just next to the main square. It's definitely worth visiting as you get the best view all over the city. It's also a nice experience climbing it, however you have to be very careful as in some places the stairs are extremely steep.

This cobblestone market square, one of the largest in Europe, is lined with magnificent baroque buildings and 18th-century arched and barrel-vaulted arcades. The Fountain of Sampson stands in the square's center.
Like other reviewers we really loved this Namesti for its great size, for the beautifully preserved and restored historic buildings surrounding it and especially for the total lack of tour groups which plague public spaces in Prague. The very impressive Samson Fountain was not operating while we were there but still a great focal point in the centre of the square. The Renaissance town hall is a stand out feature. Lots of cafes and restaurants under the medieval arcades. A lovely town centre.
