Un parco astronomico guidato magistralmente dal Sig. Vito Lecci.

This was one of the three "stabilmenti" with which our hotel had an agreement. We gave it a try on the second day of our stay and we never changed. The family which manages it, is extremely kind. Food is simple but of good quality (who needs anyway a full meal at lunch time with more than 30 degrees?) and the bathrooms are always clean and with toilet paper. The umbrellas are not as close as in other similar facilities and the place overall is a fantastic combination of comfort and "wildness". There is a parking facility (at payment) very close and the beach, other than looking as fantastic as you see in these photos, is very convenient for families with little children. We hope to return there next year, this time with our baby.

We went twice to this lido because we really liked the way the staff treat the guest, the space between umbrellas and the restaurant.
Staff is attentive and they try to make you feel comfortable and relax all the time. The space between umbrellas is enough in order not to feel sticky or piled up with others.
The restaurant serves fabulous pizzas and the staff working there is super gentil.
Recommended for families as well as for couples or group of friends.

Le Cinque Vele is situated in one of the most beautiful bays of the Ionian coast. This location is loved by guests for its fine sand, blue sea and green tamarisk and lilies and more and more tourists chose it for their holidays. Services for guests make the beach resort “Le Cinque Vele” a unique place where people can spend their relaxing time. In addition to the renownedly beautiful location, among the green of the tamarisk shrubbery and the brilliant white of the wild lilies, at "Le Cinque Vele" you will find other ways to satisfy your every desire to relax. Our attention is completely focused on the customer, and the services we provide to our guests are on a par with the best resorts in the area. Attention to detail together with orderly surroundings provide the perfect environment to enable guests to enjoy moments of leisure, peacefulness and fun all at the same time. There is an opportunity to book beachfront "king-size" umbrellas and beds, which faithfully reflects our sty
If you go to Puglia in August, forget about the lovely Beaches you can find in the tour guides: all those photos were taken in November. Most of the beautiful Beaches turn into overcrowded and stinky sardine boxes in August.
This disappointment lead us to Le Cinque Vele, which we found accidentally while driving from one beach to the other, hoping for one nice place.
Le Cinque Vele was a real oasis: beautiful, tidy, organized, fashionably designed, comfortable.
Of course, expensive: 45 euro for an umbrella and two king-size sun beds, 3 euro for parking and then we had to pay practically for everything except for the bathroom (5 euro for 15 minute jakuzzi, 6 euro for a drink, 5 euro for an aperitivo).
Nevertheless, we had a very nice and relaxing day. The people were calm, the animators were fun (acqua-gym, aerobics, foam-dancing), the sea was clean (at least in the morning). Not a place for swimmers, though: after 500 m walking the water hardly reached our waist.

After leaving Maldives de Salento beach packed with people we walked up the coast and found this little gem. Friendly staff with a hippie vibe and music to March. They have their own olive own for purchase too! Had linguine vongole and the linguine gambretti both fresh, plus a beautiful caprese salad :) word of warning though it is dog friendly beach so you will hear some yapping.

This is one of the best Beaches in Salento with white sand and clear water, really as beautiful as it looks in pictures. Unfortunately it is not a secret so it gets packed in high season and weekends so my advice is to get an early start or low season visit if you can.
