Admittance to the Cathedral is free but you need to get a ticket at the duomo museo to see the frescoes. Also the frescoes are not open all the time. For instance today (Sunday) they didnt open until 3pm. Some fabulous sculptures/architecture in any case.

I have visited this museum many times over thirty years. It was quiet. Musty. No English and barely advertised. Now it is a modern three floor space with so much to see and fine explanations. Very impressive and professionally presented. Can combine with the Cathedral and bapistry.

This provide a stunning 360 view of Tuscany from the top. I love looking at different clousters of the many churches around Prato. Climbing up and down could be tricky for the frails as the stairs are uneven and steep. Wheelchair access was there but wasn't working, sadly.

A small but perfectly formed exhibition of modern art. Interesting, interactive and stimulating. The museum also has a relaxed policy on photos which is refreshing.

This is one of the most known place of the city. It's a completely renovated building placed in the center of the city. I think it is a perfect place to study, or even to just read a book in silence.
There's also a bar closed to it, where you can take a coffee, have lunch or, if you want, have an aperitif after studying.
