When I travel to Prachin Buri I always look forward to my visits to Anothai Thai Massage. The girls are professional and friendly. A great way to unwind.
The owner has now finished hairdressing training and I was lucky enough to be her first customer. I was very happy with the job and more importantly so was my little lady.

The main attraction here at this relatively unknown location is the recently discovered Lord Buddha's footprints, carved a long time ago in the rock. According to the sign, they are the oldest replica footprints in Thailand, indicating Buddhism came here approximately in the 14th century (see photo). The excavated footprints are protected by a roof, and there is a small shrine there to pray. The old city here in the area has an old ancient deep moat, and there should be many more ancient things buried here in the area yet waiting to be discovered. There is no fee for entry, and a small temple grounds are nearby. It was a little hard to find, as we asked around with many locals. It ends up being about 3 kms south of the old city ruins with the moat.

Situated in the Khao Yai National Park, which costs 400 baht per foreigner, 40 baht per Thai and 50 baht for a car, this attraction is then free.
Ample parking with some refreshments available from a kiosk. 1km walk on concrete path with a slightly rough wooden bridge and some gentle steps...then 100m of very steep steps totalling 198 to lowest viewing platform.
June to Nov is the wettest time of year and thus we saw a really good flow of water and spray. Dec to Feb the waterfall can dry up.
Cool walk down to waterfall, cooler still in spray, but a good sweat worked up going back, as the 198 steps are up to go back!
Suggest you take a towel and drink for when back in car park, as you can wash down at the toilet facilities.
There are picnic tables and benches dotted around.
Beware of leeches. If you stand still too long, even on the concrete, to watch wildlife, bugs or huge colourful spiders in massive webs, check your legs and shoes. They are very quick and can smell you and home in on you in seconds.

A country area that you will need to drive for nearly 2 hours to get there. But you will find it worth as there is a big lake with different plants and flowers. All of them are organized properly. Be reminded to stay till dusk to watch the beautiful sunset and at night to watch the music Fountain. The music Fountain is stunning that music, lights and Fountain are blended perfectly. You may even go into the Fountain at the end of the show!

This "park" is a fascinating place as it is a mix of both Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. There are 2 huge Ganesha idols, a multitude of mice sculptures (it is Ganesha's vehicle and believers here whisper their wishes in their ears --> like them do not forget to close the other ear when you speak so that nobody else can hear your wish!) and a lot of Buddha idols. I went there for Ganesha Chaturthi festival and there were a lot of activities, people Reading your palms etc and though it is supposed to be a Hindu festival, it is very different from Indian ways of celebrating it. Awesome if you know both India and Thailand.

Compared to other Waterfalls in other parts of the world, this one is average at best. I have seen many others, such as on the A.T. which are higher and have far more dramatic water flows.

Very nice day out enjoyed by all, plenty to see and do, going on a slightly cooler day helped a fair bit too I think. Give it a shot, it's well worth the drive.
