We popped in here while staying in Potes after seeing the reviews. Although a dated 1500's building on the outside it is a modern delight on the inside! There are great views to be had from the rooftop over the quaint town, and several Exhibitions available on the lower levels.
My only criticism would be that information is mostly in Spanish and no other language - but you can still get the idea as to what you are looking at and its historical relevance.

The church of Santa María de Lebeña is in the way between Potes and the coast in the Desfiladero de la Hermida, an amazing location and a thrilling driving. The church has some interesting Mozarabic elements in its construction providing a hint of the mix of styles and cultures that populated Spain during the Reconquista.

This attraction was recommended by our hotel, Casa de las Chimeneas in Tudes and we loved it. There was only one other couple there when we arrived and the owner, who was also the tour guide, only speaks passable English, but there is a short write-up in English that's helpful. Luckily, the other couple on the tour were locals and spoke excellent English so they gave us a lot of translation from the guide.
The inside is a preserved home of an upper class family, mainly women. The furnishings and belongings are original and it was easy to imagine what life was like for them on a daily basis. The kitchen and pantry were the highlights for me. Every kitchen tool is there and it's perfectly preserved. In fact, the pantry is bigger than the kitchen because there was so much food preparation going on from the food that was grown on the grounds. At the end of the tour, you also see the wine and butchering room. You see the sewing room stuffed with original clothing from the era. And, in the attic are children's school materials and toys, as well as local traditional clothing. You see every room in the house including sitting room, bedrooms, dining room, etc.
We loved it.

We did the Via Ferrata La Hermida with Oscar in late March, and loved every minute! After emailing various companies Oscar gave the most professional and prompt response, and answered every question of mine over the next month. Our group of 4 loved the VF La Hermida, even though 2 are rock climbers (they were never bored) and 2 people afraid of heights (they made it over the Tibetan bridge and scarier parts with Oscar's encouragement). We 100% recommend doing this route with a guide, because he had extra equipment for the Bridges and also the way (especially back down) is not very clear. Thanks Oscar!!

Fantastic 2hr trip through the beautiful countryside of the Picos. Although we had little experience, the horses were great and the professional staff gave us lots of advice and directions during the trek. My girls aged 11 and 12 loved it. The path we went along wasn't for the faint-hearted and it was very steep in places but exhilarating! We paid €75 for the 3 of us for the 2hrs which I thought was good value.

Sport and adventure. All kinds of activities to have an unforgettable day surrounded by the nature of the Picos de Europa (canyoning, vias ferratas, snowshoeing, etc.)

Reviewed By Robert N - Middlesbrough

A fantastic 3 hours spent in the company of professional, friendly and knowledgable guides. Canyoning takes place in one of the streams that runs down to the Deva river. Lots of slides, abseiling and finishing off with a 7m plunge. Suitable for all ages (5-50) and everything is optional (ie, you don't have to do the jump at the end!). Kids loved it, as did the adults. It's a beautiful part of the world and you get to see it from a completely different viewpoint.
