Lake Monger

Reviewed By Chizzel - Perth, Australia

I have been coming here for many years, initially for romantic strolls with the girlfriend then progressed to showing the kids the black swans and ducks and now just for a peaceful strolls around the lake.
This has progressive become a more family friendly area with decent walking paths that go right around the lake with bird shelters / gazebos to stop and watch the wildlife.
It's right alongside the mitchell freeway and many parking spots.
Always a great free entertainment.

Have been to Realmz and completed both rooms that are currently available.
Both times were fantastic, the difficulty levels were very balanced (suitably difficult without being too hard or too easy) and the puzzles were not only fun, but aesthetically IMMERSIVE. Highly recommend Realmz for any fans of room escapes.
Can't wait for the next room!

The nostalgia box was one of the more unique experiences I’ve had in Perth. The staff were very friendly, talkative and helpful. I paid for entrance and walked around, looking at displays of video game consoles through the ages, then later got to play several consoles. You can play pong, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario Bros on NES and more. There is also a shop with a variety of things to buy. I loved it. I’ll go back if I return to Perth.

Swan River

Perth's favourite playground, the Swan River is a stunning waterway which winds its way from the Darling Scarp to Fremantle. This natural attraction is popular location for Perth locals and visitors to enjoy a day out boating, fishing, skiing, paddling, swimming, picnicking or simply enjoying its vista.Rich in environmental and cultural values, the Swan River was named Derbal Yerrigan by the local Aboriginals who believe that the river was created by the rainbow serpent ‘Waugal’, a dreamtime spirit taking the form of a giant snake. It is believed that the Waugal created creeks, waterholes, lakes and Valleys on its journey to the ocean.

I love the fact that we have so many spaces where we can breathe in city tainted fresh air, run our toes through green grass and feel the breeze on our faces and watch the birdlife continue to live regardless of our problems.
I would like to encourage Perth City to continue to look and maintain for more green spaces to make available to us city slickers!

The Perth Mint

The Perth Mint Gold Exhibition has recently undergone a major renovation to upgrade the visitor experience. One of Western Australia's leading tourist attractions, The Perth Mint offers a unique combination of activities, Exhibitions and demonstrations, enabling visiting to experience the astonishing allure of gold.

Reviewed By AnAussie - Australia

We took the Perth Mint in one afternoon. Easy parking nearby although we realized we could have just parked in the street near it. A beautiful old building and nice surrounding garden. The tour itself was interesting and highlights the importance of Australia in finding gold. There is enough there to interest children, for example, weighing yourself and finding out how much you are worth in gold! Put a $2.00 coin into this machine and out comes a gold coin to keep etc. The pouring of the gold was fascinating, and stimulated the imagination to think about what it must have been like when they had a number of workers making ingots in a tight room that must have been frightfully hot. Our guide was a very practised entertainer, he was pretty slick.
We finished off with cake and coffee sitting outside in the lovely back courtyard which has been decked out with things relevant to the Mint from time past. All up, it was a good day.

This walkway isn't too high or too long but does allow people to walk through the treetops and get a different view of parts of King's Park. It's free and fun.
