Created to protect Forests in the Turmiquire mountain range, Mochima National Park is a gorgeous refuge that comprises coastal and mountainous areas.
The village Mochima is a good base for the Mochima National Park (the website www.mochima.org (in Spanish) is about the national park rather than the village), if you stay here we can recommend Posada Girasol (see tripadvisor too). The village lies on a beautiful, huge and calm (!) laguna that is perfect for canoeing, make sure the little dive an canoe-shop in the 'main' street in Mochima is open to provide you with all you need, and from the little port or from Posada Girasol you can start for boat trips to see whole wonderful schools of dolphins in the open sea as well as to truly caribbean, catered (whole fried fish, lime, fried banana (tajada), arepas and salad) or uncatered Beaches that can only be reached by boat, as well as for diving or snorkeling. The Areperia and two to three restaurants in Mochima are all very good.

Excellent location, but the place is really boring. I have been to all the museums of Caracas and this is not really worth your visit. The Afroamerican Museum in San Bernardino (private) is way better than this.
The art galleries are boring. People are nice and well-mannered. The library is cool. Everything else here is better than the art galleries.
Good place to have a coffee and sit with your friends, but there are better museums to get in touch with the local culture. MAC is still better than this - even it is not what is used to be -.

Even though very crowded, and getting to being annoying sometimes, El Faro is a beautiful place, with incredible aquamarine cool water. If you love crowds and party, this is the place for you. Get there around 2 pm, and stay as long as 6am. If, on the other hand, you don't, then drop by early the morning, and you will have this amazing place for yourself.

At the center of town, Saint Martin's Church is a reminder of La Colonia Tovar's German history. The church's L-shape and stunning stained-glass windows make it well worth a trip.
The entire town is like a fairytale. Very nice architecture, beautiful properties, great German hospitality and food, and great views of the valley and Mountains.

Is a gorgeous beach, 1,5 hours by car from Rio Caribe, you can stay in the only Inn on the beach, 6 Huts with bathrooms in front of the beach, but you have to reserve from Caracas in advance, Is a tropical beach, where the Jungle ends and start the ocean, you can hire Boat Tours to visitit other Beaches near by, great for snorkeling, many 20 mts coconuts trees and cristal clear waters

I stayed in Venezuela for almost 6 weeks & the only one day it was raining I was up on El Morro, hehe. Really bad timing. But it's very nice up there, definitely worth a visit!

His birthplace and an adjacent museum honor Simon Bolivar, “El Liberator”, who achieved independence from Spain for Venezuela and other South American countries.
This place is the original birth place of Simn Bolivar, but it was for many years used for many different things. some history lovers, rebuilt it and re-furnished it to give them a real 1800ish look and feel. The Guides are very kind and know many gossips form the time.
Nice visit, nice place. The Caracas Downtown is kind and nice recovered for the visitors. Well you may have some care and not get alone... use a local to guide your trip...thiis is true to many latinamerican places...
