Santiago de Leon de Caracas, Venezuela's capital, sits in Cerro Avila Valley, where mountain ranges soar 8000 feet from the Caribbean. Once inhabited by Toromaimo Indians, the city was founded by the Spanish in 1567. Chacao is the see-and-be-seen place to eat, drink and socialize, but restaurant destination Las Mercedes is one of the few places safe to walk around. Iglesia de San Francisco is a beautiful example of colonial architecture. Mountainous Parque Nacional El Avila teems with tempting trails.

If you want to eat a good steak in Caracas, do not hesitate to go there. They cook the meat to your order on a nearby carbon grill. The meat here is high quality. We ordered a lomito (tenderloin) hacienda which was juicy and flavorful (medium rear). We also had watercress Caesar salads which were fantastic. On the house, they bring you to start some beef empanadas, delicious !
To drink we had a fantastic Señoria de Unx red wine from Navarra Spain.
We finished our meal with a flambé pancake with "dulce de leche" and vanilla ice cream, and a "marquesa de chocolate ".
A nice coffee at the end.
The service is optimal.
On weekends they have a live saxophone playing.
The price is not cheap but t is worth what you get.

The nice decor is like the house of an eccentric grandmother. Eclectic chairs, old saints, mirrors, embroideries. The Terrace is very nice with a lot of tropical plants. The food is very inventive, with seasonings from different parts of the world but mostly italian/venezuelan. Their best dishes are the pastas with venezuelan sauces, like ravioli with asado negro. Only once I was disapointed when there was gravlax in the menu and I was served a very bad smoked salmon. Very pleasant, always crowded.

This Spanish restaurant has been around for many, many years and was extremely popular and well attended since they served the freshest fish, seafood and lamb cooked in a superlative way. It was a bit pricey but worth it and hence the assiduous followers.
Unfortunately, times have changed, some of their signature dishes are still available but nowhere near as good as in the past. The sea bass pate was still very good but ordered a large red snapper for a party of four and it was served rather cold, dry and overly cooked. The service was very good, snappy and lively.

I have to say, that this is quite an experience. Is about tasting and enjoying not only the wonderful combination of flavors, but also the presentation of every dish. I would recommend ordering the one that offers 8 different dishes. Also, very nice atmosphere, it was very quiet, you could talk and hear your partner. You have to tried it at least once.

First, even though I am a Plat. Ambassador I do not stay at this InterContinetal after a couple of bad experiences here.. Having said this, I often frequent this restaurant when I am in Caracas. This restaurant, hands down, is the best in the city. The food is outstanding and the service is top-notch plus the wine list is incredible. If you are in Caracas and want a nice romantic restaurant or a great place for a business dinner this is the place!

Located at 7th Tranversal and fourth Ave. in Los Palos Grandes. The location has pay for parking, cash is necessary (1,600B's). Street parking is available.
The food is very good. Burgers are very good. Cheese Burgers have melted cheese.
This location is street level so not much of a view.
It is a bit pricy,
There are several nice restaurants in this centre / location.

Excelente
This place is in the town of El Hatillo. It has a valet parking a little expensive but good because you can't find a place to park by yourself. The store is elegant and the atmosphere is great. Food is delicious and fresh but expensive. Cocktails are great too. Nice place for a couple!!!
