We visited Dueodde beach with our small children. They loved the shallow water and white clean sand. Sand castle building is a very popular activity. There are no stones in the water, just sand, sand and sand. The beach and nature behind it is beautiful. The beach is accessed by a boardwalk making is easy to get to the beach with a stroller.

Balka beach is about 3km long, very natural and leads flat into the sea. The sand is extremely fine and clean. Small dunes allow wind protected stays, public toilets are available and a great bistro offers everything from beverages to really good burgers and ice cream.
It is very much recommended for a stay with children.

Very nice little harbor, although local fishing is actually suffering from fishing quotas etc. There is at least one fishing boat regularly selling fish right off the deck (www.havfriskfisk.dk), the homepage is updated with the landing times/harbors and the types that will be for sale. Fish smokery within walking distance, north of the harbor. Pleasant stroll south of the harbor, gives you a beautiful Panorama of the village itself.

You can access Rokkestenen/the rocking stone from several dirctions, i can recommend the one from Klinteby.
Take the red route, it's a 3 km that will take you past the Rokkesten and a picture perfect "mountain" lake (Grydesø).
And it IS super easy to get the stone to rock! Small pulses with pretty high frequency do the trick. My 13 year old dauther managed.
Note: the walking routes are NOT well marked. When in doubt, take the "main" path, ie the biggest

It's i nice place but quite expensive, although they support and employ socially challenged young locals as community work, and that should be supported. You can easily spend a couple of hours there, especially if the weather lets you down. There are quite some signs explaining the life of the different habitants.

By theme an important museum, which tries to cover both the end of WW2 and the Cold War. If you are non Danish speaking, stay away, because there is nothing translated to English. I will recommend a visit, mainly because there is not much else to visit in this area of Bornholm.

For DKK 60 for a loaf of bread you either should get a very good product or a very good customer service, neither is the case in this bakery. All the breads taste the same or were hard as a stone, the shop is not inviting and the lady selling the bread was grumpy. The chocclate brownies are fantastic but that's it, the rest is marketing blabla. Coming to Bornholm for many years since I am a child I am always willing to support local business, but this one is obviously just trying to sell something which does not deliver what it is promising. I can understand that the locals here in Svaneke are sceptic about this, because it is, sorry to say, just a rip off.
