Great three hour cruise on the Paddle Steamer. Commentary was good, lunch was great with the option of Chicken Schnitzel, which was huge, or Fish and Chips which was freshly cooked and crunchy. Would recommend.

Monarto Zoo

Reviewed By G7714CHstevenb - Adelaide, Australia

It may be a bit of a drive to get there, but it's well worth it. Having travelled overseas and seen other zoos, this is unique and well organised. It typifies the Australian bush and landscape, whilst imitating Africa. The animals are well cared for and there has been significant development of the site since my last visit 20 yrs ago. There is ongoing future expansion. The volunteer guides are friendly and excellent as are the keepers. We listed to the zoo keeper talks for the Rhino's, carnivores and the Tasmanian Devil. Needless to say, we learnt some things whilst enjoying the information they shared. The apes enclosure is also great. Overall, worth the $35 per person and I think it was a fair price for the experience I enjoyed. Well done, and I look forward to another visit in a few years time. An organisation well worth supporting and who are doing great work for our endangered species.

Proud Mary - Murray River Day Cruises

Reviewed By Jim F - Sydney, Australia

A most relaxing holiday as we cruised the Murray River from Murray Bridge to Blanchetown (Lock 1). The pace was leisurely and the shore excursions interesting.
The crew members were all so obliging and nothing was a trouble to them. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. We certainly appreciated the smaller vessel and enjoyed being part of a small group. The cabins were small as expected, but quite comfortable. I would certainly recommend the experience.

Bunyip

It was reported over a month ago on TA that Bunyip is in need of some care. The warning about a possible loss of our coin added to the drama and anticipation. Would it work?
On reflection, leave everything as it is.
My dollar worked. The fear began.
Bunyip water like a polluted swamp adds to the effect and scariness. The smell of hydrogen sulphide rippled in my nostrils. The terrifying growls and putrid smell was authentic, and added to my fear. The dog lowered its tail and made a hasty retreat.
In keeping with the true story of the Bunyip, the new aromatic features make it so much more real.
The sign from the Asset Manager cleared up a question I have had for years. The Bunyip is a "she".
This is best value experience for a $1 donation.
Highly recommended.

I purchased a very cheap deal on Groupon for wine tasting and a share platter. I cannot rate this little winery or the deal highly enough. Outstanding value for money! My hubby and I went up on a day off and tried atleast 9 different wines and enjoyed the Antipasto platter with home made white bean dip, Giardenia, breads, meats, olives locally. The manager "Renee" was an absolute delight and made our lunch even more enjoyable with her knowledge of the area, home made delights on the platter and definitely not pushy. I ofcourse got the 14btls with the deal and proceeded to purchase another 12btls with the discount I was offered as it was such good value. Easy to find along the road with a big sign and worth the long drive for our day out. Thankyou again to Renee for the outstanding customer service :)

Swanport Wetlands

The Swanport wetlands are among the last natural wetlands in the Murray Lower Lakes region.
There is a tricky access road from the nearby lookout. Look for the signpost to the wetlands.
The wetlands have numerous birds, native plants, trees and animals. A well-constructed boardwalk over areas which flood. Clever smartphone Q-coded signs provide YouTube information..internet access required. There is a bird hide. Nice photo points. Toilets, interpretive signage and picnic shelter.
Recommended.

Lavender Federation Walking Trail

Reviewed By Steve W - Adelaide, Australia

I ave walked most parts of the Lavender Trail from Murray Bridge to Manoora, and soon to be extended to Clare. The trail is designed to be done in daily trips thus enabling visitors in Adelaide to have easy access. The walk is on the eastern side of the Mt Lofty Ranges and has some great sunrises every day. The walk heading north from Truro is one of my favourites and has a great mix of farmer's fields, hills, sublime views, creek crossings and some history. The Lavender Trail rivals the Heysen Trail, albeit it is a lot less popular and hence quieter on the trail. One that the whole family can try

Staff are nice and friendly ,there is a viewing area for spectators to watch the action from , a nice lounge area to relax in and a party room to party in. Drink and snack-food also .
The Laser equipment is accurate ,light and comfortable to wear .
The maze is extensive and gives you many holes to snipe from or clear what ever your game play is.
The music we chose , darkened room and glow type of paint add to the Battle Arena atmosphere.
At the end we were given match information detailing points , kills and kill death ratio print out to keep.
We had good fun there and found the game duration adequate and prices very affordable.
Highly recommended.

Sedan Heritage Trail

Reviewed By Steve W - Adelaide, Australia

Don't normally drive past, and perhaps that may have been part of the town's problems. People changed routes and drove past, and the town dwindled. I broke up my drive to do a tour of the heritage trail, and to learn a bit about why this place was so critical to travellers. Some of the buildings are still in good care, while others have been left a bit flat. The walk is easy, and pets are welcome. The facilities are available, but there was limited shops open early in the morning. The pub opened as I finished the walk. Enjoyable though
