I've been to many caves but this one is one of two the most beautiful ones (Drach Cave on Mallorca is my favourite). You're going up and down, up and down again, to finally see all these sculptures of nature and quietly whisper "oh my...".
I'd definitely visit it again, especially during a classical music concert, if any!

Our visit of this hotel started with our delay caused by high way. The hotel stuff was extremly friendly. They wanted to make our mood better, so they changed our room from premium to superior. What nice surprise for us .
The room and bathroom were very clean, all perfect. The dinner as also the caffe was great.
Only one thing - in case breakfast, there could be little more variety.
For sure we will come again .

Caves are natural treasure of Slovakia and if you're skiing in nearby Jasna resort, go and see this one. The tour takes about one hour and the interior decorations of the caves are beautiful. It's a short hike from the parking lot to the cave entrance, so plan some time reserve before the time of your visit and check cave schedule for tour times.

This open air museum is a reconstructed village, many of the buildings were relocated here when a Reservoir submerged a local village. There is a whole range of buildings to explore, with interpretation boards in several languages including English. Be sure to take the guided tour as this way you get to see inside some of the bigger buildings which are kept locked for security. Also take a 10 minute walk down a wooded lane to the back of the site where there is a fascinating train engine shed - we were shown around by a man who did not speak English but could clearly communicate his pride in the engines!
You can get here on a bus (there is one approx hourly) from Liptovsky Mikulas - it takes about 45 minutes, it's a very comfortable bus with great countryside views - go to the terminus in Pribylina and it's about 15 minutes walk through the village from there. There is a nice cafe on site and on the day we went, there was someone doing a pottery demo and metalwork. We had fun exploring, the whole day out was an adventure!

After a short walk from the nearby hotels, you find this hidden gem among the trees. This serene lake is a real getaway from the crowded touristic conmmercialized hotels area. could spend days there!

It is not so great, but the surrounding is !
It is next to the Grand Castle Hotel, which is not only a very nice place to stay, but it is a very nice place just for visit as well. They have tour of the place, a few times a day.

The Slovakia miniature park is, in fact, a garden with about twenty models of selected churches, Castles, and historical buildings. To me, the choice of these buildings is a mystery. Some are beautiful (Bojnice castle), some are really ordinary (water tower). There is also a small railway, but overall the visit will take you less than 15 minutes. The place has been opened for one year, so maybe in the future, it will become more exciting...

Ski resorts in summer are a curious place, still busy still active but lacking the thing that makes them what they are, snow. These places need to do something else to create a new summer identity and other than the scenery and the Rotunda Restaurant it needs something.
The place is stunningly beautiful despite the building and investment work going on. The facilities are good and the network of chairlifts, funicular Railways and cable cars get you round the mountain quickly and easily. It is a magnificent place with views that are sublime!
It needs something like a network of mountain bike trails or downhill runs to give it a real identity all year round..... I'd love to visit in winter

Small chapel high on a rocky island in small lake. It is almost impossible to get to the chapel but position is great. Lake is small but fish inside it are huge!
