Love this place, the atmosphere is very international, you'll walk down the street and hear 5 languages being spoken; the place is a pure delight for every age group. The quirky narrow streets must be seen, sitting outside having a coffee watching the world go by is a must. Such a friendly place with a perfect European buzz.

Walked from the tourist information office in Albir to the lighthouse, a good four miles there and back. The track is concreted and fully accessible. The incline would be manageable for most walkers including children. It is carefully sign posted and there are numerous points of information in several languages. The walker is rewarded by some truly spectacular views and upon reaching the lighthouse, you can see for miles. This lighthouse was only restored within the last 10 years and they have made a fine job of it. Look out for dolphins! The lighthouse area did appear to have limited opening hours, mostly mornings, according to a sign on the gate. Recommend this beautifully scenic walk which is well worth the effort.

This is an interesting "casco antiguo" with loads of little streets and alleyways to explore, and lots of steps! The streets are laregly not commercially orientated so it makes for a great place just to wander about and absorb the atmosphere. Great views at odd moments from frequent "miradors".

The lighthouse (faro) is a fully restored building/museum at the top of cliff in the national park. It takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to walk there with fantastic viewing platforms en route.
The path is paved all the way and there are toilets and parking at the bottom.
The view's at the very top are amazing, you can see for miles and there is a free telescope.
The old light house only opens 9 till 1, you can however still walk all the way to its gates even when it's closed.

Visit Playa del Albir and look at the beautiful colors on the white stones in front of blue sea and sky. Colors changes espesially at sunset.

The church is located in the small square which leads to the viewpoint of Mirador Cronsistas de Espana and is worth visiting just for the views. The church was closed when I visited but the square is lined with restaurants and is a pleasant spot to just sit and enjoy the ambience. Streets and alleys of the old town lead in all directions from the square. It’s quite a steep climb through the narrow cobbled streets but you can probably get a taxi.

We got to visit "Placa Del Castell" a few times when we visit Benidorm. The views are spectacular overlooking Poniente, Finestrat & Peacock Island. It's nice and peaceful and sometimes they have a singer/guitarist and a group of men playing pipe music which is very soothing. They sometimes have a few stalls with handcrafted gifts.

A wonderful lookout area to be found in the heart of the elevated Altea Old Town. Fantastic views are on offer of the delightful Altea harbour, Albir beyond and then just after the Sierra Heladas you can comfortably see the high rise buildings that comprise the Levante area of Benidorm.
This area is also co-located to a number of bars/eateries which ooze charm and character. It really is a good way to while away an hour or so !!
