The economic, cultural, and political capital of Kuwait, Kuwait City sits on the shores of the Persian Gulf, and is a mixture of exclusive Western-style hotels, designer shopping malls, traditional Islamic architecture, street markets, and still war torn buildings. The painted steel Kuwait Towers are the symbol of the city, and feature a viewing platform and restaurant looking out over Kuwait. Visit the Sadu House to learn about Bedouin culture and shop for handmade crafts and fabrics.

The Grand Mosque of Kuwait is the 8th largest mosque in the world. The mosque welcomes visitors for guided tours, during weekdays from 9:00-10:45 am and from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Having seen the Blue Mosque, Eyup Mosque, and other beautiful mosques in Istanbul, I was excited to see the Grand Mosque during my visit to Kuwait. The architecture and craftsmanship is unparalleled. It is a stunningly beautiful place. The tour - ours was about 90 minutes - was excellent and the guide, Michelle, was fantastic. This is a place that shouldn’t be missed.

Tours by appointment only! The Only House in the World entirely covered with Mirror Mosaic by a single artist! The Mirror House, also called, The Khalifa & Lidia Qattan Art Museum, is the residence of the Pioneer Kuwaiti Artist, Khalifa Qattan, and his wife Lidia, both artists whom have opened their house and art galleries to share their unique art with people from around the world. The artist and creator of the Mirror House, Lidia Qattan, still gives personal tours of her magical house, which is in reality a wonderful journey of exploration.
This place is just pure whimsy! The owner and her late husband were both artists who had a lust for life, appointments are necessary for viewing but it was such a wonderful and unique experience.
The first floor of the house is completely covered in mirrored tile and the artist has such a fascinating story, she is surly a fire cracker that has endless energy! The second floor has a lot of interesting art by her late husband and a look into the universe.... Tours can run a little long but overall a lovely afternoon.

Nice place for local and traditional Kuwaiti and Gulf (Khaliji) stuff. Clothes, dresses, shoes, herbs, perfumes ... stc.
Can walk around for half a day enjoying the place
Has some restaurants and cafes around and nearby
Parking is an issue as you would have to circle around several times or just use the neighboring parking facilities

The brunch is nice, fresh food, a reasonably good selection and a good view around the city. Coffee is charged extra, although water, juice and tea is included in the price. Brunch also includes access to the viewing tower which rotates so you can stand and be slowly rotated around to see the water and Kuwait city.
The brunch is okay, nothing outstanding, you are really paying for the view and that depends on the air quality.

Really nice mall. A lot of choices of shops to shop at like River island, footlocker next etc. Also a great range of fast food restaurants like Burger King, McDonald, Wendy’s etc. It’s not that busy and not that big compared to other malls in Kuwait.

We may certainly denote by islamic the religious or connote accordingly. Here we have a personal, family collection literally crammed in a ground and basement small area, decently compartmentalized where material culture, artefacts spectrally covering the islamic sources in a vast geography: from Moghul to Morocco and from Uzbekistan to Algeria. Weaponry, vestments, silverqare decorative and portable and utensils, robes, illuminations and calligraphic Coranic and Perso-Turkish non religious iconography, earthenware and glassware and western souvenirs and embroideries to cover some of the non academically and or exhaustively amassed 'extraordinaria'. Even fine marble work that is almost gauze or
