This beach is as pretty as a postcard, with smooth white sands and clear blue waters.
This long, pretty, empty beach is at the shore end of Lucayan National Park, out Sunrise Highway toward the east end of the island. You get there by a scenic walk on a boardwalk through mangroves and across a small river. Very pretty. Nice place to spend a little time after walking around the park.

$5.00 entrance fee includes the short trail to historical underground caves where Ararak Indians lived and buried their dead. After viewing these, head to one of the most beautiful Beaches in the world! This is an all day trip, so carry your lunch, sunscreen, and bug spray. Try to go at low tide or mid tide. You'll have the whole beach pretty much to yourself. White sand, turquoise blue water, and the sun. Do not go on a cloudy overcast day....the bugs will love you too much. On a sunny day, you'll only see a few pests. Such a beautiful beach!

We visited the Bahamian Brewery as part of a tour, the friendly staff showed us where the brewing process took place then the area where the bottles were washed plus various processes. We then were taken to a room containing a Bar,small samples of various beers were offered to the assembled company, the strength of beer increased with each sample, most were pretty good! At the finish you could partake in larger samples if you so wished.Back downstairs is a well stocked off-license and gift shop to browse. It was an interesting tour.

Ferry is punctual and comfortable. In the off-season, there is a reduced schedule that is not published so be sure to ask the boat pilot.

Twelve-acre garden full of tropical plants and animals: one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island.
We took the excursion from our cruise ship to the Gardens. Air conditioned bus with Jason as our tour guide and about a 45 minute trip. The Gardens were quite refreshing after all the damage we noticed from Hurricane Matthew on bus trip. Lots of beautiful flowers, birds, ducks, fish and trees. Loved the chapel on the hill and the serenity of the location. Shopping area with local crafts and a few eateries. Beautiful waterfall and a serenity trail to walk when you are stressed.

Located a mile off the Mainland shore, this small, often deserted island is a relaxing place for snorkeling and viewing birds.
This is a pretty beach! We came on a jetski tour (it left the hotel about 2:45pm) and it was low tide. Not sure if there was actually a reef - we tried to snorkel but there was a lot of sand and sea weed.

Lovely beach, known for its remote stretches of sand.
Great beac. Low waves white sand. Beach I’d raked each day. The is jet skis, para sailing and swimming. Nice beach to walk. Did notice a lot of broken glass on beach. Understandable after seeing spring breaker during and throw bottles on beach. Should be cleaned up by hotels!

We stumbled upon this square when visiting the Lucayan Market. There are a number of brightly-colored buildings with shops, food, etc. Since we were there during the day, we did not get to see any of the entertainment. We were told that different music acts perform on different nights and that it is something to experience.

A beautiful scenic marina, our starting-off point for some fantastic scuba diving! Lovely to walk through in the morning as the boats are being readied for a day of ocean activities, faint Caribbean music sounds in the background from the Port Lucaya Marketplace.

We stopped in here because we like to find local art on vacation. This was a bit pricey compared to what we were looking for, but the art was nice. He had some originals and lithographs and other sorts of copies. We ended up buying elsewhere.
