The pink sands of Champagne Beach spill into warm waters filled with wrecks and reefs begging to be explored by Espiritu Santo vacationers. Rinse off with a dip in one of the island’s many freshwater blue holes. Trek over a bamboo bridge to visit the bats and swallows of Millennium Cave, who nap among spectacular rock formations. Divers can wave hello to "The Lady," one of the many intact artifacts of the wreck of the SS President Coolidge.

Everyone will tell you how hard this trek is and they are right! It is challenging and you need a good level of fitness. I did not get told much about the tour except this but the experience blew me away! The scenery while stumbling over moss covered boulders and climbing down bamboo ladders was incredible. You also spend at least half an hour walking through water in the pitch black cave while trying to stumble over rocks. You are given a torch but it is quite hard to hold the torch and stop yourself from falling over.
Please take a waterproof camera! I did not have mine and the guides offer to take your phone in a waterproof box, but I did not want to risk it. Also, lunch is not provided so you need to take your own.
I found the guides very professional and really looked out for the group. At one time I was about to slip through the cave and my life jacket was grabbed from behind to stop me from falling.
I would highly recommend this tour for the adventurous/active type!

First dived Pres.Coolidge in 1982 on air. The Lady sculpture was just discovered previous week and I had a great snap of it published in Neville Coleman's "Underwater" magazine, beating established photographers to be the "first" published.
The wreck is a walk-in dive that caters for elementary to experienced divers. Great fish and coral photo opportunities for photographers. Plenty of sharks too. Eerie looking down off the poop deck into the very deep channel that seems to have no bottom. Visibility is mostly astounding.
Alan Power has been conducting tours on the Coolidge since early 1980's, longer than any other operator and it was Alan who first showed me over the vessel in 1982. For experience and professional guidance you cannot go past Alan.
This is a "must do" in the world of diving. No matter how deep you are comfortable with, you will gain a great sense of achievement. Not only is it a great dive opportunity but you get to experience the local culture and great local hospitality.

This is one of the most beautiful Beaches I have ever seen! And I think the water may be as blue as the water in the Bahamas!
Highly recommend visiting this beach over Champagne Beach it is free and more beautiful. There is also some good snorkelling spots not too far off.
We also had a lovely lunch on the beachfront.
It is about 62km from Luganville. We hired a car for the day to visit the Beaches along the east coast.

Nanda Blue hole is an outstanding tourist attraction. Beautifully. maintained by the local people, with facilities such as clean toilets, change rooms and a cafe. The water is astonishingly beautiful, very deep and crystal clear. Be sure to take your GoPro and snorkel & goggles. Highly recommended.

20 mins northwest of Luganville
It was Blue, there is no arguement there. We ended up having the whole place to ourselves on the morning of our visit. The water was still very murky after the small hurricane that had made an appearance a few weeks earlier so it wasn't great for snorkelling. Not the most beautiful of the blue holes, but otherwise a quiet place to relax.
Bring your mozzie repellent!

We drove up to champagne beach twice, the first time we didn’t realize there was a cruise ship , we turned around and didn’t stay. Too many people and the huge cruise ship looked overwhelming huge in the beautiful bay. We came back again and there were only a few others.
There was a bit of rubbish around ( sadly a common sight in Vanuatu)
The water was lovely

The Adventure You've Been Hoping For!! Let yourself be taken on this half day excursion by the river, snaking its way through the dense Vanuatu rainforest. The river has carved out a magnificent gorge, lined with remarkable limestone formations and overhanging supersized ferns and trees. Be serenaded by birds as you float down to the waterfall and spend some time there taking in the natural beauty. Follow the guide on an easy, instructive walk through the lush jungle and finish off with some refreshments (fruit and water). Ready yourself for the infectious laughter and smiles coming from the happiest people on the planet, as we drive passed their villages and Gardens on our way to and from Mount Hope. Required are closed (reef)shoes and shorts. Bring camera, towel and change of clothes.
Wear good shoes, need to be fit and if you like walking and being outdoors than this is a must see and must do on your list. It was just awesome!

Photos don't do this place justice.
I could ramble on about the scale of what was done here, only advice I'll give is take an underwater camera and prepare to be wowed.
Fantastic and devastating in equal measures.
A must see in Santos.
Also quick tip, all the good stuff is to the right of the wharf.

A short minibus trip on rough roads takes you to the site. Interesting, but repetitive. Not for me. About 6 sets of music and lots of splashing.

We called into Velit Bay on a recommendation, on our way to Lonnoc Beach, and stayed for lunch. The bay is stunningly beautiful, and lunch is western style and of quite high standard. There's no accommodation there as yet, but it's well well worth a stop of an hour or two, more if you want to snorkel, kayak etc.
