An escorted day tour we meet you at the St. Jacobs Farmer’s Market and sample a few local favorites followed by a visit to the village of St Jacobs. We head into the countryside for lunch at the old town general store & cafe. Followed by a visit to a Mennonite farm known for another famous local treat, maple syrup and their quilts. We will visit a hidden bakery and enjoy more tasty treat as we explore the countryside.
There is something for everyone at the St. Jacob's market. Meat and cheeses, a huge variety of baked goods, maple syrup, crafts too many items to write in one review. Like the meat because it is drug and hormone free!
Bring a cooler in the warmer weather because it helps keep you perishable items fresher. Dogs are welcome but I would not recommend it. I have a dog, but it is very hot in the warmer months and there is a ton of people, not fun for them.
Wear good walking shoes, there is a lot of market!
I buy a lot of my things like baked goods and maple butter off the Amish. Be respectful though, they are not a sight seeing venture. Respect their wishes not to be photographed, this is against there religion.
It is nice to drive through the country farms and see the Amish at work on their farms and driving in their horse and buggies.

We are conveniently located at the main intersection, at the corner of Arthur St. and Church St. in downtown Elmira Ontario.
Lots of everything here. Good Tourist Store. Sort of an old style merchant store. Little bottles of this and that. Hand made this and that. Baking, sauces and more. EXPENSIVEThanks for your visit, and feedback. We specialize in homemade local product, and therefore our specialties are priced higher than the factory made food, because of manual labor involved in making it. We hope you will be back, and look forward to seeing you.

I love quilt shops in general. The ambiance is almost always warm and cozy, and I love the colours, the bolts of cloth, and the "downhome" feeling that they provide. This shop excels at providing quilters with a cozy atmosphere in which to shop. The completed quilting ideas and the layout of fabrics is beautiful, and the shop is great to look at as well as offering lots of quilting accessories, patterns and fabrics for sale. If you are the least bit interested in quilting as a hobby, now or if you are like me, "when I retire", then you have to visit this shop. It's part of a retail outlet that also houses a large country gift shop and a restaurant, you can easily spend a large part of an afternoon browsing this destination.

This is a non-profit theatre that has a first class stage and always excellent productions. I have never been disappointed with the Performances. Usually there is at least one dinner night so you get excellent food and then a great performance for a very reasonable price. The actors are all non-paid volunteers who put their hearts in to each show. They are "professional" in their preparations and sense of pride for each performance. Go and enjoy the evening for a reasonable price.

We were looking for a comfortable hike on the Thanksgiving weekend and decided to give this a try. It was as good choice.
The hike is a comfortable 7km (to do the full loop around the reservoir). It is level, groomed by the local Lion's club, and well marked. Expect to find other hikers and families with dogs.
The bulk of the hike is in re-forestation lands under pine trees or through a maple sugar bush. Some of it is along the edge of farm fields. Two short stretches run along a paved road. There are periodic views of the Reservoir and a two large open park areas.
It seems like it would be great for x-country skiing.
We parked in Floridale and started at that point but there is also a large parking lot at the dam.

Woolwich Memorial Centre (WMC) is a multi-recreational facility which hosts 2 Hockey Rinks, a Fitness Centre, Swimming Pool, Youth Centre, Senior's Centre, Community Centre, Walking Track, and several Meeting Rooms.
I've been to many rinks and Dan Snyder Memorial Arena is one of the best out there. The community should be very proud to have such building in their town. The main arena is state of the art and home of the GOJHL Elmira Sugar Kings, as well as the Woolwich Wildcats minor hockey association. Very passionate fans and great community. The snack bar sells home made tarts that you must have.

Elmira Bowl is a small 5 pin bowling alley that is very well maintained by the proprietor and his staff. 5 pin bowling is a uniquely Canadian sport that is fun for guests of all ages. Elmira Bowl features synthetic lanes, string pinsetters, and computerized scoring. Elmira Bowl also offers food which is very reasonably priced and quite good. If you are looking for a fun activity for all in Elmira, visit this bowling alley.

A lovely little golf course/club just on the outside of Elmira. Great place to eat and greet, and enjoy a round of golf in the prettiest of settings!

This is where you go to unwind after a long day, a difficult meeting, or just to enjoy each other's company. Live music on the weekends and huge nachos with plenty to drink. Just a fun place.
