This park, plus the extension of walking trails located nearby, makes this place a truly fantastic park to enjoy. A lot of events are held at the park throughout the year. This is a wonderful place to walk, sit and meet your friends / neighbours.

We were the only visitors on a quiet Sunday. Teens are generally not keen on this sort of thing but there were quite a few "wows" regarding the architecture. The staff member that greeted us made it special with her in-depth knowledge of the Temple and the local area which was recounted clearly and easily off the top of her head; there was not a single question I asked that was unanswered. We felt extremely welcome and not at all awkward as you sometimes do when the only ones in a place. The indoor displays at the entrance were extremely well done. Would return again when a festival or music event was on. I could sit for hours in this peaceful place.

Upper Canada Mall is a premier shopping destination in the Greater Toronto Area. Located in Newmarket, Ontario, the mall offers simply the best shopping experience North of Toronto, with its best-in-class collection of retailers.
The majority of stores located within the Upper Canada Mall seem to cater to youth. That is great for these youngsters and or young adults, but it really is not great for middle aged or older adults. There are very very few stores located in this mall that sells merchandise targeting the aforementioned age group. So why go to this Mall? The style and types of clothing are great but not suitable for us maturer folks. So, if you want to buy age appropriate clothing, then stay away from this Mall.

Always fun. 3 screens to choose from, food is good and concession kids are nice and friendly. Clean too! They make bigger vehicles move back, which is nice to see rules enforced, kids and dogs can come and have play areas. Great views of movies, good quality viewing and sound. Little touches like red floating balloons around for the screening ot "It" add to the fun.

I love visited this place on the weekend or when they have an event going on. It is one of the new attractions they have built in Newmarket to change the downtown core and make it more family friendly. I have been living in Newmarket for 25+ years and have seen it grow and change. Weekends are bustling with people in the Fountain and on Main Street. The walking trail is right beside of commons too. If you're ever in Newmarket, stop by this area

A very special experience awaits visitors to Pheasant Run Golf Club. Our mission- to create an environment of excitement, warmth, and fun- finds its way into every detail of the day. Perched high in the Oak Ridge Moraine, Pheasant Run Golf Club offers a unique escape within an hour of downtown Toronto, right at the top of the 404. Old Forests of pine and oak take visitors far from the city pace to a sanctuary of undisturbed natural beauty. The excitement builds as you make your entrance down the long driveway, flanked by sweeping vistas of green fairways. The escape continues with the warm welcome of their cedar log clubhouse. Enthusiastic staff make everyone feel like they’ve just arrived at a friend’s cottage. The welcome doesn’t end here. Player development programs including men’s and women’s leagues, ‘nine and dine’s, clinics and camps draw a wide circle of players into their community. In fact, Pheasant Run has become widely regarded as the course most receptive to needs of women golfers with over 300 women participating in 3 golf leagues. It is the club’s vision to help others achieve their full potential through the core values of golf- Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and the Celebration of FriendshipBeyond golf, they can create the perfect setting for any significant celebration- weddings, anniversaries, even smaller events to mark birthdays or re-unions can stand apart with the added sparkle of the cuisine and setting offered at Pheasant Run. The attention to details that make the golf course shine carry through in every event hosted by the team of professionals at this remarkable facility.
This is a well maintained course up north of Toronto that is never going to have the fine detail or challenge of a major course. If you are looking for a friendly club with plenty of shorter holes that require accuracy because of the setup , then you will enjoy this course that is filled with natural views.

This is part of the Aurora trail system that passes close to the town hall. The trees are all nicely labelled and there are plenty of stream side flowers and such as well. Nice stroll

We spent a lovely day around Fairy lake today. Great restaurants, walking trails, nature, and great old architecture. However the #townofnewmarket really needs to improve the shopping on main street. We were bored by the offerings and so we only spent 30minutes there. The stores are either closed!, tired/junky looking, or specific to only one clientele (tshirts, comics, tween spa, etc). I really enjoy the furniture shop and yarn store. You need a strategy to attract more trendy stores to the area. There are too many service companies taking up prime real estate there too like insurance companies, tomb stones, lawyers offices. You want to attract people to your downtown area and make them stay for longer periods of time to spend their money so it goes back into the economy.
They have done a great job at attracting new restaurants to the area (brew hops, ground burger, made in Mexico, firkin, cachet, snackmarket, malt, tea shop, and more!) the activities the town puts on in the commons are out of this world! The farmers market is the best. Skating. Splash pad. Concerts. The library pod. Hockey day in Newmarket. And so much more! The marketing and events team should be proud of themselves!

This is a great spot for jogging and biking as well as nature observation. It consists of a path through forest along the Holland river just north of Green Lane. There's a surprisingly rich variety of flora and fauna to see. Red squirrels, woodpeckers, and wild raspberries were among recent highlights of my visit. Mosquitoes can be a bit vicious in the summer, so I would recommend bug spray if you want to take your time enjoying the sights.
