The walk through Burleigh National Park is invigorating.
Take the high track to the lookout over all of the southern Beaches OR take the low track through the bush.
Whichever you choose, you'll be glad you did.
Remember to look up early morning as koalas are plentiful.
Wear joggers and loose or exercise clothes.

We regularly visit Fleay’s as it’s our favourite local wildlife experience. The shows are informative and interesting, the park is beautifully presented, the staff are knowledgable and friendly and it’s super affordable. Perfect for families with a full timetable of shows. Easy to walk around within an hour or take longer and enjoy the presentations.

One of the best Farmer Markets on the GC. Heaps of stalls offering a amazing selection of fresh produce. Which lasts and tastes so much better than buying from the supermarket.
Great friendly vendors set in a cool ambience. I visit every Saturday for my supplies, good source of breakfast options always live music. Awesome way to start the weekend. Plants ,clothes and some local crafts for sale here too. Heaps of parking and ATM available.

This is one of my fav go-to spots for a quick run in the morning with friends. You get the ocean right there, with a stunning view mid way. I believe the ocean strip is still not accessible so haven't been back for a month now but need to do a run again soon.

The Village Markets (TVM), is the original and best boutique creative market on the Gold Coast, showcasing 100 fashion, arts and creative stalls as well as live local music and delicious gourmet food.Founded in October 2008, the aim of TVM is to create a platform for talented emerging fashion designers, artists, photographers and vintage collectors to showcase their wares, as well as providing a much needed regular cultural event for the region. The Village Markets trade on the first and third Sunday of every month from 8am – 1pm at Burleigh Heads State School oval.At TVM, you’ll find a diverse range of stalls from men’s and women’s fashion by emerging and local designers, vintage clothing sourced from around the world and one-off, high quality jumble stalls. You’ll also find amongst the fashion stalls various local artworks, hand crafted jewellery and unique homewares.
We visited the Sunday Markets in the Burleigh School Grounds. The stalls are full of clothes, jewellery, homewares mostly made by the stallholders. There are food vans also, plus some local musicians. Plenty of free parking in the school grounds. Toilets are open. Most enjoyable visit.

John Laws Park sits atop Goodwin Terrace and provides excellent views from Burleigh Heads to Surfers Paradise on a clear day. There are a number of shady pandanus trees to sit under as well as a grassed area (but you might need a beach umbrella to avoid the sun burn). We saw a pod of dolphins the day we visited as well as plenty of surfers trying their luck on the waves. There are plenty of take away shops in Burleigh to grab a bite to eat. Kids are also looked after with play equipment. Off-street and on-street parking is available. Toilets are available too. If you have some overseas visitors, the park is certainly a great place to take them to show them the views. Atop the hill is the Burleigh Hill walking track for people with a fitness passion (not us oldies I am afraid).

Jellurgal invites you to embark on a journey of discovery as you explore the secret world of the first inhabitants f this region, the Yugambeh people.Designed for international travellers, interstate visitors and locals wishing to learn more about the Aboriginal history of their region, Jellurgal Dreaming is a five hour Aboriginal Cultural Experience.
Small but informative cultural centre. Loved all the original Aboriginal artwork and history. A nice gift shop has many lovely items for sale. We guided ourselves around which was fine since everything is self explanatory. Coffee shop was closed for renovations when we visited. A short walk from hotels and Beaches in Burleigh Heads.

This park is little known park. The first park that greats you when you arrive at Burleigh. The City of Gold Coast maintains this park to the highest standard both for locals and visitors. If you look hard you will find this park. Enjoy and relax and say thanks to a great place
