This is the interactive museum with a lot of historical equipment. You can touch everything, see how it works. You will hear the music from the old radio, gramophone and other old music equipment.
Wonderful place!
People there will answer all your questions and say something about the history.

The Rozhdestvenskaya church is one of the most beautiful one in Nizhny Novgorod.
The legend tells when the church was built, Stroganov (the merchant who gave the order to build the church) was so pleased with the structure so that asked the main builder if he could repeat the same and build another one the same church. The builder said that he could and was blinded at once.
The other legend tells that the church was built by the builder-magician. When he was ordered to be catched, he run to the bell tower and turned into the raven, and flied away.

Nizhny is all about views. The central part sits on the hills overlooking two great rivers coming together, so the views are plenty. Fedorovsky Embankment is certainly one of the best spots. The Embankment is designed as a cascade of viewing platforms. The platforms have benches and some have flowers and other decorative pieces. So it is very comfortable to have a packed lunch there on a good day. From the Embankment you can see the lower part of the city, the Fair buildings, the Nevsky Cathedral, the new stadium building cite, the Strelka, and a part of Rozdenstvenslyaya among other things. It's a top 10 things to do in the city i'd say.

The pavilion of more than 1000 m2: interactive exhibits, optical illusions, amazing musical instruments, the mysterious mirror, the room with the broken gravity, intricate mazes, unexpected photo zone and much more. You’ll feel a dwarf and a giant, learn to play the water pipes, play on the strings of invisible harps, create your own world.

The monastery was founded in 14th century by St. Dionysus.
A nice quite place, with wonderful views, interesting churches and amazing outdoor cafe with cheap and tasty pastry (“pirozhki”) for 20 rubles and hot tea (10 rubles).
If you walk from the city center it's better to come from Sennaya.

If you walk the Bolshaya Pokrovskaya street, you cannot miss this building. By far for me the most impressive building in Nizhniy Novgorod, which otherwise has a lot of architecture to admire - from art-nouveau through Stalinist-Empire style to the baroque and old medieval places... for me this one looks like a fairytale castle.
