we could easily find our own spot on the white sand beach. water looks great when it`s high tide. there`s food and drinks to be found here and there along this very long beach. just pick and choose while walking.

We rented a van and driver for the day from Tagbilaran to take us to a few places including the chocolate hills. The drive directly from the chocolate hills back to our hotel took about 1hr 20mins. We paid 1800 peso, and were out from about 8am to 1:30pm.
We enjoyed the chocolate hills. They were as scenic as we hoped, even though they are green at the moment. There are about 200 steps to walk up to the viewing platform.

The sanctuary a property of Philippine Tarsier Foundation which primary Mission is to save the Philippine Tarsier, its habitat and other wildlife.
We visited right before their closing time Like 3:30pm, so we didn’t encounter crowds of people bothering little ones. Everything was quite, tarsiers were sleeping. Didn’t see anyone bothering tarsiers with touching/cameras/noise, like many reviews have mentioned.
So we were very happy with what we ve seen. Very educational site.
60 pesos to get it. One of the guides will take you around and show tarsiers.

this is one of our stop last 2017 annual family vacation. we went to visit the island of Bohol last May 2017 for a family reunion during which we visited Bohol's pride Balicasag Island. My brother and his friends enjoyed the reef snorkeling while me and my 5-year old son enjoyed swimming along the coast. During our swim we encountered first hand a middle sized (about 30 inches) turtle, so fun because we don't need to go far to snorkel as the turtle went near us even if we are just a feet away from the banks. Anyway the experience was worth it as my son did enjoy his swim. As for the pricing, seriously its very expensive, I have been to other vacation spots around the Philippines but this is by far the most expensive I have been to. The boat ride was priced fairly as we rented a boat for a 7 hours tours at Php 1,500 for 10 pax including dolphin watching, Balicasag island tour and lastly the Virgin island tour but the down part is the food is very expensive as we are not allowed to bring our own in Balicasag Island as per guide we are obliged to eat in their food stalls which are overly priced. FYI to those who wants to do snorkeling - please note of the fee Php 200.00 per pax for the snorkeling plus additional Php 100.00 for the coastal fee per pax (Php 300.00 per pax for the snorkeling fee all-in). never had encountered this type of billing before. Anyways the place is good but the price is not. If one will visit please do bring with you your best negotiation skills and lots of cash. Warning to Foreigner who wish to visit, please do negotiate as the prices differs (foreigners as priced double as what they collect from locals).

Botanical garden and animal sanctuary is set on a lush 9 hectares garden with over 3000 species of exotic plants. Bird aviary. Fine dining restaurant. Museum of classic and modern art (painting sculpture and furniture). Equestrian center. Sports activities including scuba diving, yoga, dance. Handicraft and fashion shopping. Coffee shop and patisserie. Luxury individual villas with private pools in the future.
A perfect place to witness tarsiers.. a sanctuary/ safe haven for these unique indigenous creatures. Staff were knowledgeable about the primate and its behaviours e.g. territorial tendencies. Couldnt get an upclose shot. There is a shop for souvenirs nearby and some cool refreshments during viewing.

This place was deserted upon arrival. No tourists. No locals. The positive reviews are all fake. This place is completely devastated & in need of a complete overhaul. We walked around & noticed all the rides in dire & unsafe shape. The park grounds were not well kept. Over grown bushes. Cracked pathways. On top of all this, we were still charged admission & was told the staff were on lunch.
The experience was quite horrific, even with our 2 local guides. We were told that Danao is controlled by rebels & that can be dangerous for tourists. Stay away from Danao & this park at all costs. Go visit the Chocolate Hills instead.

Some nice tall trees close to the road making like a shady tunnel when you drive along. Is it a tourist attraction? It's a nice location but unless you have never seen a big clump of trees in your life than just keep driving.

Reachable only by boat, and underwater most of the time, this hidden gem of beach is a fun stopover when on a boating trip. There is not much to do but it is unique and the sometimes local merchants that will cut up and cook the fresh caught shell fish and sea urchins are worth a try.

We went trekking in Tangkoko Forest in Sulewasi Indonisia last September...to see the lovely little Tarsier in its natural habitat. We were really impressed by this conservation area in Bohol Philipines...they are really trying to educate people about the world's smallest primate in a nice way. The animals are really well taken care of..and if your lucky you may get a couple off exceptional photos...
