not too crowded but very well balanced wellness area. Good spacey saunas with good variety on temperatures and types of heat. Missing some good Aufguß opportunities in the hotter saunas. Great place to just come for a decent round of sauna and good restaurant with nice specials.

The Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage site is a unique icon of Dutch water management and control. All the phases of the history of our struggle against water are still visible here. The unique collection of 19 mills in an authentic Dutch landscape is an eye catcher. Museum windmill Nederwaard shows how families lived and worked in our mills around 1900. And in Museum windmill Blokweer you can experience working as a miller. View our multi-screen film in the Visitors Centre, located in the former steam-driven pumping station. Get on board of our electric vessel, the Prince Friso, and view Kinderdijk from the water. Feel the wind, smell the water and listen to the sound of the windmills. The Kinderdijk World Heritage site is open almost the entire year!
The landscape of all 19 windmills is breathtaking! The welcome center video was informative and prepared you for your journey. The walkway is very good, be prepared to walk A LOT! But it is very worth it! Getting to go into 2 windmills, one that is working is an unforgettable experience. I'm very grateful I was able to experience this history.

For over 15 years Het Kruispunt is home for our local drama group twice a year. Theatre offers a huge variation of professional programs during the season and we love to go there as much as we can. With about 500 seats it is offers a very familiar size which is very close to stage. We often meet with actors at afterparty.
Free parking in front at walking distance.

Located very close to the Boymans van Beuningen museum, it is well worth a visit if you are interested in architecture or interior design. The house was designed for one of the directors of the van Nelle factory, his wife and 2 daughters. It is set up as a grand villa, with bedrooms for 2 maids, a studio for the 2 daughters to study, and several large and interconnected rooms. Although the architects did not design the furniture, they did decide upon the furniture that was to be used in the house. Most of that furniture is still present, the original or a replica. Build in 1933, the house is full of technological novelties. Make sure to aks for the free audio guide, as you will see much more as well as hear the reasoning behind several colours.

The Feyenoord Stadium ("De Kuip") is considered the Dutch version of the old Wembley stadium in England.
A very rich history, home of iconic team Feyenoord. Feyenoord was Netherlands first club team to win the European Cup in 1970, the start of the 'golden years' in Dutch football history - including two World Cup finals in '74 and '78.
There is small museum next to the stadium (History Home) and you can get a tour seeing parts of the stadium that are normally not accessible.

Cute farm at the south end of town of Barendrecht south of Rotterdam. Especially with smaller kids this farm can be offering some nice exposure to larger and smaller farm animals. Also offering stable opportunities for horse owners, and riding lessons.
